Just found out they've started selling it in Sweden about six weeks ago... Apparently it has a chocolaty taste. Hmmmm.... They don't have it at the shops I usually buy from, but it's widely available in the city...
Guess I'll do some shopping next week.. Cause I've liked their other products.
and there was another interesting in Systembolaget's list: Samuel Adams Triple Bock. Smells like: dates, maple sirup, fudge, soy and cocoa. Taste: sweet, wth maple sirup, soy, chocolatefudge and dried fruit.
But that beer was here just temporarily and there's only one bottle left, in the southermost Sweden...
I really shouldn't be reading Systembolaget's catalogue...

sam adams has a lot of different varieties, most of them are delicious. i don't know how big it is outside of america, but it's good stuff. i've been meaning to try as many as i can find, but i keep coming back to black lager. it does taste kind of chocolatey now that you mention it. an almost coffee taste, actually.
nastee: i think black lager is just the name of this particular type of sam adams, i don't think it refers to any general type of beer. or maybe it does! i don't know!
i'm sure i've seen "stout" on the labels of beers at various liquor stores though. i dunno what it means, but i think we use it.
i remember accidentally doing car bombs with guinness stout once, that wasn't fun

it has since improved in quality. although i still have that darned vermouth since it mixes with nothing
i think i have 4 beers in my room, maybe i could take a picture of them

i thought this was common knowledge?
i have a confession to make, i didn't actually take that picture. i did take A picture of the beer, and it looked exactly like that, but i couldn't find the thing for my camera to get the pictures on my computer, so i just did a google search
but it looks pretty much the same

Nice pic. you guys should look out for "beer animals" in the foam stuck to the side of your glass...
No prizes for caterpillars though...

How about these:
Americano:
5/10 vermouth rosso
5/10 bitter campari soda water
Bronx:
4/10 gin
2/10 vermouth rosso
2/10 vermouth dry
2/10 orange juice
Gin and It:
3/10 vermouth rosso
7/10 gin
Manhattan:
7/10 rye whiskey
3/10 vermouth rosso
1 drop of angostura
Martini - Perfect:
8/10 gin
1/10 vermouth dry
1/10 vermouth rosso
Martini - Sweet:
2/10 vermouth rosso
8/10 gin
Negroni:
1/3 gin
1/3 bitter campari
1/3 vermouth rosso
So looks like gin should be the poison of your choice.
and funny how several of the cocktails have US names...

I have a bottle of that sitting about four feet behind me. was supposed to be for my Dad's birthday, but since he didn't come down this weekend I guess it'll be my little secret.

you realise i live in the home of all this isht, i'm practically born with that crap through my veins. if anyone EVER comes to visit me you'll be going straight to a wonderful whisky bar near me called uisge beatha (which is, as we ALL KNOW, gaelic for the water of life = whisky).
whoever i get for secret santa will most probably be getting (in addition to main present) a collection of the official guinness book of records worlds smallest whiskys. woooh!!

Two days left on a course and one day at work and one day off to arrange stuff and then I'm abroad for a while yay!.
I'd make a lousy secret santa :(

i'll make the occasional manhattan, but thats about it. and i don't really want to have to get a bottle of dry vermouth to help finish that stuff.
but i really can't complain about drinking more gin
