View Full Version : netflix must think i have the worst taste ever
my queue went something like this
the paper chase
the office: season 2 (all 4 discs)
then, after i saw disc one, i removed the other 3 from my queue and added:
star wars: episode one
arrested development: all three seasons
then within a day of receiving the first disc i deleted all 3 seasons and added:
roadhouse
i had good reasons though! after seeing the first disc of the office, i decided i wanted to watch it again and again, so i just went and bought it. and for arrested development, a friend lent me the first season the same day i received the first disc through netflix, and i bought the whole series based on it (again, because it seemed like the kind of show i'd want to watch again and again...i'm STILL rewatching the UK eps of the office)
as for episode one and roadhouse, i only rented them because of rifftrax (http://rifftrax.com/Html/Catalogue4.html).
anyway, the recommendations that netflix is giving me do not quite reflect my true affinities. i can't wait to see what happens when i rent Crossroads

Thanks for introducing me to riftrax(y)
I'm downloading some torrents right now.(y)
It's funny, my friends and I used to this stuff with Gumby videos when we were in middle school. I wish I would have chosen it as a career path.

dude, don't impugne my honor
i pirate video games all the time, ok?
truth be told i don't have the patience to figure out how to copy DVD's
i know how to torrent movies, but to be honest, they're of such dubious quality that i just kinda prefer to rent 'em. i mean, my wireless isn't that great, so it usually takes a day or two anyway, and netflix reeealllly isn't that expensive, i just prefer to use that.
and really, the office and arrested development are so goddamned good, i really would feel bad about not tossing money in their general direction

but i'll hock it however often i have to, because i fully support the product
i hope you're at least buying the rifftrax (i don't care if you're pirating the movies)
Dude, there's a Roadhouse sequel. You need to see it. The lines aren't as classic as the former but what can you expect... there's no Swayze.

Netflix pretty much thinks I'm pretty awesome, I think.
We should all exchange e-mail stuff so we can be on eachother's friend list. Or maybe not... that might be dorky or something.

Netflix's number one choice for me is the Fast and the Furious sequel. I didn't even see the first one.
Bob, you really rented The Paper Chase? :p Was it the original movie or the old series?
it was the movie. i liked it, if only because my torts professor references it all the time and i like it when i get jokes (he once said "now don't worry if you get a bad grade on this practice exam, it isn't a 'here's a dime' moment" and maybe a dozen people laughed).
it wasn't as scary as people were telling me it was. i think seeing it after actually being in law school for a month helps though. i bet it would have been more intimidating if i'd seen it before i came to law school, when i didn't know what to expect.
