Oh yea, this weekend the worst of my fear happen while on a trip deep in the wood. We were(me and 3 others girls) coming back from the maniwane(Attikamecs reserve) wich is like 1hour and half from the little village of St- Michel des SAints.

Context;

It was 11pm, we had coming back from the reserve after filming testimony for a documentary that my sister is doing for school. The music was flowing in the van, the speed was smooth due to the fact that it was a gravel road with no light on it and full of curves.

Suddenly , we hear a weird sound and then the steering became hard to drive. I stop the van and go out side to see what was the problem. Oh my fucking god, a flat tire in the back left. I wanted to cry, almost.

I mean, 4 girls in the middle of the wood with no light and no skill and practice in the field of flat tire.Like pretty ironic, i was the one with most skill(seeing my ex do it couples of time) , so i was really aware of a hard it is to unscrew thoses tire bolts. Anyway, we gain back our positives attitudes and try to figuring this one out . I have a jack(wich is really shitty) and my spare tire was underneat the back of my van. Now on this one we were scratching our head to figuring out , how we would be able to free the tire...

Anyway, 5 minutes have passed, A pickup came our way(was going back to the reserve) , he did stop and we asked for help. The man agree without hesitation, DOrian was his name, a tall indian really sexy and viril and full of good humor.

He drop there like a fucking savior and good thing because in thoses situation you need the strengh of a MAN. WE could have achieved it maybe but i am still sceptical on that.

So yea..THis is a (y) For man who know how to change a flat tire.

And just curious to know if some girls here did change a flat tire before?

You know that the tall indian guy probablyput caltraps on the road to pop your tire, then 'turned up' to save you so he could get with 3 feeble women with nowhere to run.

And I'm sure changing a tire can't be too hard. You just take it off, then put the new one on the same way you took the other one off.

It's the screws not the tire. ;) But I just changed tires it myself last weekend for the first time. Saved 20 Euro + I know how to do it next time.

Theoretically its not hard, you just have to remember a few things. Change it on level ground, put the handbrake on, loosen the wheel nuts before you jack the car up, be careful when you take the last nut off so the wheel doesnt fall into your lap, replace the bottom wheel nut first, tighten the nuts properly when the wheel is back on the ground so it doesnt fall off a few minutes later while you're hikin down the highway.

In practise its a bugger of a job because the wheel nuts are on really tight and the wheel is heavy and awkward to put back on because of the way they are balanced.

replace the bottom wheel nut first
Which reminds me, when putting the new wheel on, insert and turn screws in a crosswise pattern, this makes it easier for you. Don't break your fingernails, girlies.

Pres Z: maybe it was all planned by this sexy indian, i would'nt have mind doing pervert things with him, the timing was not right tho..... But the way the tire was DEAD was really weird, like somebody had put some nails on the road.:D

No really, the road was full of sharp rock , that is our tire killer: rocks.

But changing a tire can be harder then you think if you dont know how to have acces to the spare. The way mine is , you have to know that there is a bolt to unscrew and it is situate in the trunk , so we were fucked because i did not know this one....not proud of this either.:o

I know for futur flat tires!

I'd like to recommend, for this time of year especially, the keeping of some old or cheap gardening gloves in with the spare.
I always seem to end up changing tyres in ice and snow, and when your hands are red raw and the tyre keep slipping through your fingers, they are very handy.

I suggest that everyone check their tire pressure. During the seasonal change the cold weather will suck the air out of your tires. My wife's tires were so low she was almost running around on her rims.....but what can I expect? She never checks her oil either.

Women?! Ya can't live with 'em.......(long pause)........pass the beer nuts.

It's also a lot easier to crack the nut if you put the wrench on and then stomp down, rather than trying to do it by hand.(y)
