I did a ride along with my uncle who is a cop. We were eating brownies at someone's house when he got a call that there had been a bank robbery. I saw them apprehend the dude and everything, it was sweet.

I think this is very thread worthy. A ride along with a paparazzi is like being a real life vampire.

earlier in the day, it was marcia cross (from desp. housewives). she's pregnant and anyone pregnant warrants the paparazzi supposedly. also, david charvet (Bay Watch), who is popular as he is the father of Brooke Burke's baby. Jessica Biel was the next day. They got her at the airport as she was having stuff confiscated at security. We got to see a lot of people's homes (Kate Beckinsale, Kate Hudson, Owen Wilson, Ben Affleck/Jen Garner, Di Caprio, Matthew McConaghay (sp?), Courtney Cox, Jen Aniston, etc. We tried to get up to Britney's, but couldn't talk our way through security.

i've been thinking about doing a ride along with the cops. if i choose to do it with a patrolman/woman, bobby could come along. however, as a PD paid by the state, i can choose to do a ride along with the chase helicopter. but bobby wouldn't be allowed to go.

I like the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Very creamy and delicious hot chocolate.

What a fucking pathetic way to make a living.

I had pre-conceived ideas about this too. There are the slimy, ex-convicts from Brazil who work for quantity photos over quality. Then there are the others who follow the rules & laws and exist so that People Magazine, In-Style, Entertainment Tonight, etc. can exist. All of the tv shows and publications all over the world get their footage from these people. Celebrities benefit from the paparazzi just as much as the paparazzi benefits from them.

Sure there are pathetic photogs, but not all of them.

They're all pathetic to people such as myself who give two shits less about celebrities. The only thing worse than the people who take the photos are the morons who find them to be captivating.
