Possible stupid question about a varying AIFST releases

hello there.

this is my first contribution to any messageboard of any kind, but more important than that, i must stress beforehand - to not be misunderstood - and with capital letters that I AM NOT A RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

having said that, i would like to clarify a simple question regarding the existence of a double and single DVD format of the aforementioned beastie boys release. making it a short story, my boyfriend has recently visited the city of NY and aware of the natural disregard the labels (or whoever should be doing that) seem to have on releasing any material such as this one on the south of america i requested him to purchase me a copy. upon his arrival i noticed - the same with the criterion collection which was released on tropical land though - there was a single DVD inside the box. i searched for a couple of features i had heard of and could not find them.

what then? what? is he the cheap fool i know him to be and was convinced by some bootlegging street bafoon to purchase a pirate version of the damned thing?
- i felt i should make a friendly joke/pun to gain the affection of the members of this board -

ps: i have no idea if there is any interaction between the band and this but if so, i must say that all the monkeys here have long been potty trained and we have very modern vacines for the freaky rainforest diseases.

ok its really confusing knowing all the different DVD versions but this is what i'm sure of. The U.S dvd's that were sold at Best Buy stores are packaged with 2 disc & theres another version with only 1 which were sold at other places like amazon.com, so i don't know where you're boyfriend got your copy of AIFST, but all i know is the the 2 disc version with bonus material was sold at Best Buy

he told me he bought it at a Virgin Megastore. why is that? is this one version cheaper - he refuses to tell me how much it was, the cheap bastard. and did the Criterion Collection also came in both formats in the U.S? what a strange world we live in ahn?

i didn't think the anthology came as two separate versions, did it? :confused:

how can we proceed to have this transaction on the extra AIFST DVD happen? i did yes know about the extra content therefore my coming out here wanting to clarify things properly.

hey, silly me.

i do have 2 DVD on the anthology i posses. i guess it's been a while since i've watched it. but nonetheless, there is no poster in there.
