of course they have bingo in scotland! god yes. the old biddies love it up here.
although, apparently there is a bingo crisis in scotland at the moment with the smoking ban :( ahh. poor old ladies don't want to do their bingo-ing without a fag.

now mecca bingo are trying really hard to market it towards trendy professional young women (although using kerry mcfadden in their adverts is possible not a good start) my mum was taken with her work once and she was all :rolleyes: at first but then she enjoyed it.

so once when i was visiting her i came along and dear god, it was actually quite compelling! you're always just one number away from winning. plus you can drink some booze while you're doing it. and you connect to the rest of the country for some sort of countrywide draw. but the pressure to yell BINGO! before the next number is read out is really quite scary. they're all old pros in these bingo halls, i tells yah!
