So I talked to this one chick for about 2 weeks. (never turned into anything sexually) I basically told her that I wasnt looking for anything serious at the moment and that I just wanted to hang out with her and get to know her.

Well I guess she decided not to do that cause she was talking to "other" guys, which is fine by me because all I wanted to do was hangout and get to know her.

Fast forward 3 weeks to this sunday night. I saw her and her friend at the bar. I was nice and told her that it was good to see her blah blah blah. She seemed like she didnt want to talk to me cause she was talkin to other guys around her which was fine. Then I started to talk to her best friend at the bar. We bought each other drinks and hugged and stuff.

The girl I was talking to at first told me today that she was pissed off and that I shouldnt have been "all over her friend"

I have a problem with this. Why the fuck does it matter? I can talk to whoever I want to talk to, especially since me and this girl are "just friends or whatever". I wasnt the only one buying the drinks and hugging.

Is this girl jealous of me or her best friend for some crazy reason or is she just one of those drama queens?

Good times

Sounds like she probably felt a little blown off by you saying you wanted to be just friends so she cut you off a little bit. And when you started getting friendly with her friend and gave her a hug she probably took it the wrong way and was like "WTF? He said he wasn't looking for anything more," and felt twice as dissed.

^sounds about right. Plus, any competition she feels with her friend, etc.

Damn I was just thinking. Is their a seinfield episode about this? Not about this inparticular, but "making the switch" from girl to best friend.

Yeah, best friends will often have a problem with competativeness. It's natural. It's usually very slight, but if a guy comes up to you and says "Yo your friend is hot" usually the initial reaction is  followed by a reluctant agreement, cuz yeah it's true.

that's a bit of a no-no. not on your part, on her part. it's just out of respect.
