So, he is having a book signing at Barnes & Noble instead of Wal Mart because he doesn't agree with Wal Mart's unfair wages, but the Wal Mart next door to this Barnes & Noble has a higher wage?
What an idiot, a complete idiot.
First, his campaign worker goes to Wal Mart to buy his kids a PS3 at the same time he slams Wal Mart with his union cohorts, now he boycotts Wal Mart by going to a book store that pays it workers less money that Wal Mart??
:D :D :D

This effects the country how?
Until Edwards or Kerry creates a civil war in another country, this doesn't mean a thing.
Seriously, you are grasping at straws at someone who lost an election.

let's see, he ran for VP and lost, and will probably be running again,
he says he's a friend of the poor and working man, but he is trying to get rid of a business that provides low cost goods to those same people by giving them more buying power for their dollar
and he's your typical hypocritical liberal......

valvano, considering the plethora of relevant and significant issues which you could have chosen as the subject of your thread, for you to have settled on this one is utterly pitiful.

Such an all-american business at that. Always looking out for the little man.
Say, who is the 7th largest trading partner in the world with China again?
Walmart, the company who makes sure you spend less, so they can pay less.

Yeah, Valv. For someone who's not an official politician anymore and has no real power, you certainly are all up on his dick recently. Certainly there are more dirty libruls you can yell about who DO make a difference, correct?
Nah, probably not. We have the Congress and are kicking ass. :D

goddamnit valvano, i seriously have a headache right now thinking about how lame you are for posting this. i can't believe it. i mean i was kind of on the verge of having one already, but this definitely tipped the scales. well done. well goddamn done.
Heck, you need it AGAIN, valvano:

Wanna talk about pre-election and post-election?
How about Bush saying terrorists will win (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/30/AR2006103000530.html) if Democrats are elected, and then after we swept the House and Senate telling America's enemies to " not confuse the workings of our democracy with a lack of will. Our nation is committed to bringing you to justice (http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/11/20061108-2.html)." According to election results and what he previously said, the terrorists won! But wait, they haven't actually? Hmmm.
What about his flip-flopping, saying we'll can't win the war on terror, but then saying we can? (http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A49035-2004Aug31?language=printer)
How about Bush saying before the 2000 elections that environment should be respected and said he was going to be strong when it comes to its protection, and just a week after he got elected he repealed laws that protected our most fragile ecosystems?
Face it, everyone says stuff to get elected and then decides post-election that they don't wanna. It's what politicians DO, regardless which side you support.
Either way, looks like they're keeping their promise to Michael J. Fox (http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/29/stem.cells.ap/), and will also be tackling high education costs, minimum wage issues, and medicare problems. (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061130/NEWS01/611300375/1002/NEWS) Thus me saying they are KICKIN' ASS! (y)

True dat. The main objection to Wal-Mart is not just low wages. They suck at providing healthcare and have been notorious for cutting people's benefits across the board, etc.
John Edwards is far from an idiot. He would make a great president, IMHO. The real reason he lost last time was because everyone rushed to jump in behind Kerry who turned out to be another Michael Dukakis....(i.e., nice guy, some good ideas, but just too out-of-touch and oafish seeming to get elected) and his only real option was to run as VP.

Don't forget Bush said during his campaign that he was going to put caps on pollution but when elected, had a change of heart.
Much more important than shopping at wal mart if you ask me.

valvano...really.....you HAVE to get off this anti-Edwards thing with Wal-Mart.
The dude has plenty of other things to take him to task for that are FAR more serious. Heck, the fact that he's a LAWYER oughta be enough to disqualify him from elected office, IMHO.

There's been lots of lawyers who became President. I know it's popular to hate on the lawyers, but they're not all THAT bad. ;)

Ok let's expand on that... have you perused his casework? The popular sentiment is to assume he's an ambulance-chaser and a charlatan.
The fact that he was a lawyer does not automatically give anyone the right to pre-judge without at least taking a look at what he actually did as a lawyer.

Not true.
Unfortunately, I've dealt with my fair share of lawyers and, to a person, they are bad, horrible people....with bad habits and no shame.
Plus.....they usually smell.
Also....I hear they kick kittens and puppies.
Also, they hate foreigners and homosexuals.
Also......
