In History! From the Blender Magazine (http://www.blender.com/guide/articles.aspx?id=466), really, honestly it's not too far off the mark for a lark.

I don't see any reason why bands like The Doors, Arrested Development, Jamiroquai, and Primus ended up on that list. It's sad, because despite the 5 or 6 shocking exceptions such as the aforementioned, that list ain't half bad. But I mean what kind of fuckin' drugs do you have to be on to claim the Doors as one of the worst bands of all time. i don't even consider myself a fan of theirs and I'm offended...

Blender likes to make fun of The Doors, because they're pretentious.
Whatever, man.

They couldn't be more right with their choice as number one.

I was completly on board with this list untill I got to number 22: Primus.
They are out of their minds.
And then I jumped back on board with number one being ICP.
They can't even describe Les's voice other than a startlingly nasal vocalist. Fuck Blender magazine. Pork Soda is the worst album of 93?
I'm really waiting to see a 50 best bands from these fucks just to see what drives them.
Alan Parson's project isn't really that bad either.

Always trust in Blender.
This is, afterall, the same publication that gave My Chemical Romance's latest album a rating of 4-1/2 out of 5.

Look what happens when you google up "worst band in the world (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=worst+band+in+the+world&btnG=Google+Search)".
Blender is a PG-13 Playboy made by men who are the mental equivalent of 13 year-old boys who need a PG-13 Playboy. It's like the Victoria Secret Catalogue suddenly including music reviews.
Still, the list isn't really that far off the mark. Theres a lot of bands worse than the Doors but including them makes the list sort of controversial, you know, amongst 13 year olds.

I hate The Doors. Always have.
I agree that Crash Test Dummies were horrid, but I love the Superman song. :)

The Doors were pure genius...crooning the same 20 words in a song sammiched between 7 to 10 minutes of crazy "freakout" jamming.
I always assumed the lapse in singing is because Jim Morrison was too busy vomiting or having a drug induced seizure.

The Doors sucked.
Maybe, but not as much as Primus.

I agree with the nr.1, but most of the rest is just ridiculous. I can think of a gabillion bands that are far worse. Like, where are bloody Good Charlotte in that list huh? And calling primus one of the worst bands in the world just means you're a moron. Their music might seem a little weird to you, but you really can not say they are a bad band. These guys really know how to play their instruments, which can't really be said of a lot of other bands.

I just saw Primus a couple weeks ago. It was pretty sweet. Admitted, Les Claypools voice takes some getting use to, but you don't go see Primus for the singing.
As for the list... I think you need a lot more than 50 spots to list all the crap music thats ever been.

Let me be clear: I personally don't like the Doors for the reasons they put them on the list, be really they don't belong on that list. They did influence many many bands after them and therefore are revelvant to "not sucking".
What I don't get is no Limp Bizkit? wtf?
Good call, wtf is up with no Limp Bizkit.
Whats this band of horses stuff? do they suck? i think a song of theirs came on my zune. i haven't listened to it.

The list has its limitations, but the author's soundbites about each band are pretty fucking funny:
"They said Brad Roberts’s voice was so deep it could be heard only by whales. Not true, sadly"

um that list is pretty bunk. How can Ace of Base and Thrid Eye Blind be missing from the list? How?

Yeah, it's a kinda crappy list.
I mean, I can't abide The Doors, but at least they came up with one original ("Break on Through") that kicks ass. That, alone, would keep them off this list.
Unless the list is more philosophically-based than musically-based. Then, yeah, I'd pretty much leave 'em on.
