Just thinking about shows were bands were blazing during their sets....some even soliciting 'blunt offerings' from the audience...not including reggae or dance hall shows....you?

Green Day (audience asked 4 and supplied)
P Funk All Stars (communal bong)
Ike Turner (tossed on stage)

But the strangest pot related event I've seen was, recently Roger Dahltry asking people in the first 20 rows to go smoke on the concourse as he has developed allergy's to the herb......talking bout his generation....

Beasties at the Cleveland Agora. I brought a bag and rolled some and shared with random people.

Clutch at Bogarts in Cincy- my friend and I burned while watching. Also, some was offered.

I haven't really seen to many "big" shows, mostly all of the performances I went to were local music shows or underground types like Brainiac, Billy Goat, Roundhead, Hogscraper etc etc. I smoked up during all of the local shows and I'd sometimes offer the band members to smoke up outside during their intermission.

I saw the Pharcyde back when they were good at the old 9:30. And they passed around a plate in the audience for people to throw weed in, and they got it back up stage and started smoking. and then there is cypress hill.

at leeds fest this year i rolled a fat one and took it to dizzee rascal. i smoked about half, then shared a bit with this geordie guy, then finished it and enjoyed the show :rolleyes:

I saw De La Soul a couple years ago....in addition to their stellar performance, they smoked a ton of pot. Maceo almost fell down on stage, and several people in the audience were passing blunts up to Mace to be judged.

I saw De La Soul a couple years ago....in addition to their stellar performance, they smoked a ton of pot. Maceo almost fell down on stage, and several people in the audience were passing blunts up to Mace to be judged.

I've seen them twice but they never smoked,funny! 1 great show, one mediocre.....for some reason you reminded me that I saw Phife from Tribe huffing and puffin with some sound crew guys,side stage at Lollapalooza oh so many years ago......

Does it seem like a bit of cheeky entitlement for a fucking performer to ask an audience member for anything? I mean, they get so much free crap from adoring fans and groupies -- the very people who probably are already sacrificing a good chunk of change just to get tickets and such. It's nuts.

When Ween and Green Day asked the audience for smoke they both claimed border crossing implications and lack of time in town for their lack of herb......Ween actually asked for "blunt offerings" and when Green Day asked,there was an awkward pause in the show,with no response and then Billie was like "No I'm serious here...."....I found it all amusing,not offended in the least,what surprises me more is smoking on anything I did'nt roll myself,lest you get dusted by some madman....:(

Seems to me tossing picks or sticks out to the audience has become a little passé almost Spinal Tapish....however drum skins or set lists are my faves....especially a drum skin with set list written on it.....(y)

I didn't see Pos smoke at all, and I'm not sure about Dave. Dave actually was ill through the whole show, but was a trooper and made it through the set.

Mace on the other hand was smoking outside when I talked to him, during the show, and after the show.
