if Thrid Eye Blind had only released one album I might still be lulled into being content with thier catchy, all be it shitty, pop-rock. It was the mid 90's after all and my musical tastes were not fully developed. But the release of thier second album proved that they lacked the creativiy to do anything but regergitate the same few cords over and over again. and when it comes right down to to it thier lyrics pretty much suck. they sucked on the first album, but I probably wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't continued to make music.

all be it
....I haven't seen this typo before. First typo that's probably better than the actual word. :D

Yeah, but I like it.
"Albiet" is back, but not too long ago, it was considered archaic. It got drilled into my head in high school that it was a pretentious word impressing no one and baffling others, so I kind of grew to dislike it.
But "all be it" sounds kinda cool. Very cool, when you know where it came from.

:( well to be honest I've been a little dissapointed with thier last 3 albums begining with In Violet Light. at this point they really could stop and I wouldn't be sad....but if they had only made one album? that would have been tragic in my book.

Pretty much. Well, "Gordon" is such a delightful album, but I did like the rest of their stuff up to and including "Maroon." Nowadays, I can't even be bothered with what the Ladies write anymore ("Postcard From A Chimpanzee"? No thanks). But I get great nostalgia trips for BNL's earliest stuff.
the clash
sex pistols
These two entries are confusing. The Pistols only made one album, so your wish has been granted, no matter what their legacy is considered.
As far as the mainstream is concerned, The Clash WERE just a one-hit wonder band ("Rock the Casbah", "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?").
So what are you wishing was different?

i hate the barenaked ladies with a passion, ditto the majority of punk rock. the clash are a little more tolerable than the pistols, and i wasn't sure if both bands had more than one hit song. regardless, i just can't stand how they, along with the pistols, are constantly held up on this pedestal in the music/rock press.

Since "Break on Through (to the Other Side)" was their first single, I'd say The Doors could've been one of the great one-hit wonders ever.
Instead, they get rolling tape. :(
