HMM, NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT THAT WAY BEFORE. ONE OF THE REASONS THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE DEF JAM WAS THAT WE WANTED TO WORK ON OUR OWN MORE, AND THEY WANTED US TO KEEP ON DOING THE SAME THING WITH THE SAME PEOPLE. THEY DIDN’T PAY US IN ORDER TO TRY TO FORCE US TO DO MORE OF THE SAME. THAT’S HOW WE ENDED UP LEAVING DEF JAM.

I THINK THAT WE WERE HEADING THAT WAY ANYWAY. WE GOT INSPIRED TO PLAY BY LISTENING TO A LOT OF INSTRUMENTAL RECORDS WHILE WE WERE LOOKING FOR THINGS TO SAMPLE WHEN WE WORKING ON PAUL’S BOUTIQUE. NO PLANS LIKE THAT. ONCE SOMEONE SUGGESTED PUTTING THAT ONE SHOW THAT WAS BROADCAST LIVE ON MTV OUT ON DVD. IT WAS ONE OF THE IN THE ROUND SHOWS. I THINK WE WERE SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE.
