Nosebleeds :(

Scary shit. I haven't had one since high school, and now I've gotten two in the past three months. First, when I was at Brett's house and started to smell iron so I put my finger up to my nose and feel there's warm liquid oozing out. It's blood. I nearly scared the shit out of him too, because he's not good with seeing massive amounts of blood apparently.

Then just now, I'm lying on my bed typing on my laptop, same thing. Smell iron. Feel something wet and warm. Oh, it's blood. Great. Now I have tissues everywhere and it looks like I slaughtered something.

It's just the scariest thing ever because blood will start to flow down the back of your throat if you're lying down, and then you'll start to choke on it so you run to the bathroom and cough up what's in your lungs and it's meaty chunks of blood.


Oh, and if you're grossed out by stuff like this you probably shouldn't have read the thread.

That's the thing! I could totally understand it if my finger was up there, but it wasn't! Both times I smelled iron first and then felt something warm.

Maybe one of my blood vessels just decided it'd be lol to break this winter.

Yeah -- when I was particularly sick recently I had a few days where, not like FREE FLOWING blood, thank God, but where I'd blow my nose and, in the tissue, one side was snot and the other was like a clot of blood. Very weird.

I'm always surprised at how BRIGHT blood is, too. It really is a beautiful color.

oh wow i haven't had a nose bleed ever, i've seen tons of people with nose bleeds it looks like their in pain cuz of the huge amounts of blood:(

Ahahahahhaha! I could see that happening. Nah, mostly he just looked away and looked like he was going to vomit at one point. I felt bad because he wanted to help me but also didn't want to see blood gushing from my face because that made him sick.

I get bad allergies...so i get the nose bleeds more often than not. Get a cool mist humidifier. CVS sells the one I have . havent had one in months,

Well when you haven't had them for about 8 years and then all of the sudden your nose bursts open and blood gushes everywhere outta the blue that's kinda scary.

And also the coughing up blood into the sink thing is a little hard to handle.

i think that's my favourite part of a blood nose!

i got one in the movies once. hadn't been doing anything! i swear! the lights were still on and we were waiting for the movie to start and i felt my nose running so i just wiped it with the back of my hand (charming) and looked and saw blood! argh! no tissues or anything. made my bf run out of the theatre and get napkins but he took ages and i sat there trying to not draw attention.

i've had a couple since then. now whenever i feel my nose running i'm hell paranoid its blood.
