I haven't tried the Winter Lager, but it just came out. Anyone a fan? I mean, I tried the Octoberfest and liked it. I just don't know the difference between the seasons really.

the seasonal shit is pretty decent, but the regular lager doesnt really do anything for me. some of the darker stuff they have is decent as well, but most places i know of don't carry it

it's winter now, so that means its generally coldest and most trees lose their leaves

So the beer tastes cold and leafy?

I thought it'd be somewhere along the lines of peed-in snow.

My roommate is a big Sam Adams fan. I don't see why, though.

Personally I prefer Samuel Jackson. Everything a beer is suppose to be. I gets you drunk and you'll be fuckin fat chicks in no time.

My one friend told me she hates most beers. She says she likes stuff with very little hopps, and no aftertaste.

I told her to drink water.

She hates the domestic lites. Miller, Bud, Coors - all nasty. I gave her Amstel Lite (which I think is excellent) and she hates that too. I don't get it.

It makes me laugh to have her try my beers and see her lip curl in distaste as she chokes out "It's...okay." She's just trying to like beers because her boyfriend does. LOLOLOLOL lamers  (n) :p

lagers/stouts/ales/however you want to categorize it, are pretty nasty. Unless its at a beer festival, a "raging kegger" and you are between the ages of 15-20, Guiness, Boddingtons, or from Dominion.

You should tell your friend to try some beer from the Dogfish brewery. thats sort of near you right? and its made right there.

Sam Adams is waaaay to hoppy for this guy.

I was married to a brewer, so I got to learn and taste all kinds of beer...

ales are gonna give you the hoppiest flavors

if she doesn't like lagers and considers those still too hoppy, then she should look into a nasty wheat or hefeweizen to choke down or, as you said QA, stick to water...

Dogfishhead is too bitter for her. Hefeweizen/wheat beer is the only thing she'll drink. Not my thing, personally.

I wanna try an Irish car bomb sometime this winter. I hear those are damn good, and I do like Guiness draught.

mmmm car bombs. so so so good. my wife went about 22 years of her life without having one thinking they would be nasty. but after her first...she fell in love. and she can't even chug water...thats how smooth it goes down. give her one of those!

the black cat and clyde's in Tysons Corner make the best ones in the nova/maryland/dc area. i speak the troof.

I dunno I am from Scotland but I find the thought of a girl ordering stout/ale pretty unusual. In fact I only know 1 girl who does it - and I work part time in a bar.

Perhaps your friend just has to face they dont like lager or beer.

I've been meaning to go to the Black Cat. It's owned by Dave Grohl's brother.

I think she just needs to realize that she doesn't like beer, like Gus said. She needs to stop trying to impress her boyfriend because most men don't give a shit.

Actually I think Dave Grohl was an investor. And still is a silent partner. But I could be wrong...its happened. Once.

Hmm, that could be a possibility. I just know that he comes in every so often, so that'd be pretty sweet to bump into him.
