Post up what's going on in the next few weeks that you're super-excited about.
Two happy hours, one with co-workers, one with friends
Two holiday parties, one at work, one with friends (this weekend!)
Friends from Oregon and NC are flying in, along with my parents
Brett comes in December 28, will be here for New Year's and then I'm takin' him to meet the parents in the dirty Souf :)
I don't know how I'm going to be able to concentrate at work. I mean, whenever I'm looking forward to something I get all antsy and ADDish.

I'm not excited about anything except maybe seeing some movies. I don't have any leave so I'm stuck in this cesspool alone for the holidays. They are giving me 5 days off but I’m not allowed to leave the local area. That’s pretty lame in my book
Going to Vegas for New Year's and spending New Year's Eve with Alruggs
I feel like I should be excited since its my first christmas (meaning having a tree in my house and all that bullshit), but its more of a pain in the ass than anything else.
I guess I'm excited to see some old friends come back into town.
Yeah....thats it.
I get 2 days off work, that's about it. My parents are not going away so I have to have a boring christmas dinner and all that follows with that. So no excitement at all.

I don't know why, but I always feel a major urge to go to Finland when I hear how fun it is after you post...

My family and I decorated our plastic tree on Sunday, and my parents took the time to decorate the whole house with Holiday attire; it looks like Christmas threw up in my living room...
But it's tacky and my parents put a lot of hard work into it and yeah so what if I like it...:o

If I can get rid of this flu I'd be glad cause we've got Lucia (http://www.photos-suede.com/loupe-472/) at work tomorrow (kids dress up and sing about Santa Lucia and gingerbreadmen and their parents look in awe). Then on Thursday we've got some kinda Christmas lunch at work and on Friday it's my mum's birthday. I already sent her some flowers, but freakin' Interflora are fuckin' expensive, and the village's only flowerhop doesn't do Euroflorist...
Most propably I will be spending Christmas alone, don't wanna spend it with anyone. Didn't even take any days off work, but am leaving for Helsinki for New Years on Friday before NYE (if I can get a ferry ticket, I'll get personel tickets, but they can only be booked one week in advance and last time I didn't get any...). It's been a while since I celebrated New Years in Helsinki, but those parties were always the best ones.

I'm not excited for anything this year. It'll just be a day I spend with my parents and little brother watching movies all day which is just fine but nothing to be overly thrilled about.

Douglas Fir? I hate the ones that drop all the needles. I have a 10 foot Douglas Fir that is sucking water like a 300 pound man on a treadmill. One of my cats is eating the tinsel. The other night Porter had a piece hanging out of his mouth and when I pulled the tinsel it kept coming out like a magician pulling hankerchiefs out of his sleeve. It had to be in his stomach.
I will wake up listen to my Johnny Cash and Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas CDs and eat a nice breakfast. Open a couple of gifts (my new Sony DVD camcorder...I mean my wife's new camcorder) and shoot some footage of my son babbling. I usually go bowling Christmas afternoon and have a couple cold brews. Then I will watch the evening NBA game or the movie Christmas Vacation.

we have two christmas parties this weekend. there's also one on thursday, but i just finally opened the invite and haven't told bobby about it yet, but i doubt we'll go to it unless some of my other work friends are going. we're also going to a friend's house to have sushi -- one of the people i work with used to be a sushi chef at a great place here, and he taught our friends how to make it so they're making it for us.
i think that's it for now.

That made me lol. :o
And Jess - Brett and I are going to be headed to New Bern, NC. So we'll basically just be shooting down I-95 for about 300 miles.
