he needs to do that Primo album, it is the only chance he has to ever put out anything remotely like a classic album ever again.

ill second that primo album.
you cannot have a good hiphop album without good production. i dont know what nas doesnt get, i feel like all his albums since illamatic he gets half ass production to go with some really good production and it just comes out kinda ehhh, like the first guy said.

this is nas releated somewhat
btw MC serch has been pissing me off lately, don't know why really, he just seems annoying to me

I don't agree with MC Serch being white. He should fix that.

don't forget the one classic he pumped since illmatic, "Nas Is Like". oh yeah, that was primo too.
actually, "Take It In Blood" was a pretty fly track. or maybe it was just that motherfucker of a beat that keeps my memory so fond. who knows. that ultramag sample "i made it like that, i bought it like that, i'm livin like that" alone makes that song monumental.

actually Made You Look > anything on Illmatic
besides, having Premier produce everything doesnt guarantee it'll be some classic. Jeru and Group Homes albums had some skip-worthy tracks.
Nas is one of those rappers that for all practical purposes may as well be tone deaf because when you hear him rhyme over trash beats like "Zone Out" its pretty obvious he isnt critical enough.

i don't get it, the new song is just the thief's theme beat.
i heard the new cd's supposed to be good, though.
he needs to team up with az for the premier album. im sure nas would be able to handle it himself but puttin az on wouldn't hurt his career at all but would just make it more interesting as well as it would boost up az's career.
oh also he should team up with the alchemist to get some shit going too. i'm not too involved in his more recent stuff but the last track i heard them do was book of rhymes which to me is one of the strongest tracks off of the god's son album. maybe they've done something after that though i don't know.

Somethin AZ is down with...so he said in XXL. A hip-hop heads pipe dream dat would be sick.
Stillmatic and God's Son were amazing LPs...even Lost Tapes I'll go to war over that fact.

AZ will always be underrated sadly a damn crime 2 deny him his credit 4 helping bring NY back and mafiaoso/coke rap that seems to be favored on here
yeah i guess once you've released five or six albums already the chance of you all of a sudden blowin up upon the release of a 7th album isn't really that likely.

Nas and AZ most likely wont work together again.

But think about it though, it is better he hasn't blown up or else he'd be getting threads like this started about him. Not blowing up might have helped AZ street cred that much more and the real people know he has lyrics, Doe or Die is still a classic in my, and a good portion of rap critics and fans, agree.

It does, less annoyance 2 given the artist doesnt have "heads" holdin him up 2 unattainable standards set by previous releases.Nas needs AZ more then AZ needs Nas

Right and Exact is one of the best beats ever. Same with Buc Buc Buc...too bad Alchemist passed them out to half ass MCs.

Best white producer in the mainstream...his work 4 Mobb Deep is ill but one producer doesnt make a song if Nas did his gangster voice over Book of Rhymes beat he'd still get shited on.
NY State of Mind, Lifes a Bitch, World is, Halftime and One Love>Made U Look just had to say that
