I had never seen nor heard of this movie until this morning when I watched it on TBS...fantastix movie. Kevin Spacey is a great actor, and Helent Hunt looked perfect for her part; the heroin chic weight she had really empasized her shady history.

Has anyone else ever seen this flick? I like the 'message' it has.

Thanks for that delightfully elaborate post. You really put effort into that one.

My girlfriend likes it... I've probably had to "sit through" it about 5 times in the last 18 months we've been together...

It seriously makes me wish my eyes were lost in a tragic childhood farming accident it's so cheesily shit. I hate that fucking kid!

Yeah, it's not that great.....at all.

I saw it. Good intentions, but it's pretty poor.

Osment's good in it.

I like the idea behind the scene where Spacey's character explains that to truly scar a kid all you have to do is not love the kid, but I pretty much hated the way he acted it. He's been good, but now generally annoys me.

You didn't like Beyond the Sea?

Pfft. Never saw it.

Like I'd want to bother with a fucking Kevin Spacey vanity project...

I don't know if he is, and I'm sorry that it's going to sound this way, but that's one guy who just comes off a total fag to me. Like, all of the unattractive aspects of homosexuality rolled into one little weasel. Ick.

Spacey is a homo? I definitely don't sense any of those negative annoying unattractive aspects of homoism in Spacey. That Ant fag, yes. Spacey? No. He seems like a manly, up and up classy type of guy.

I liked him as Lex Luthor.

Don't be such a hate monger, A-Z!

SPOILER!!

The ex laughed pretty hard when the kid got stabbed because he had the stupidest expression on his face when it happened. On careful review, I too have deemed it as LOL.

Did that movie cause you to rethink the essence of your being?

When I was about 11 years old I thought this movie was a piece of crap.

I haven't seen it since.

You must only be 17 because it came out just six years ago.

K-Pax was shitty.

I still don't mind Spacy, I just think the whole idea of 'pay it forward' is nifty.

No marsdaddy it did not make me change the way I think about anything, I just thought it was a decent movie with an interesting message.

Kevin Spacey has been in some damn good movies though. Se7en, The Usual Suspects are two of my fav's. I also liked The Life of David Gale.

But K-Pax did seem like a shitheap.

What, that Helen Hunt is a closet sexed up, alcoholic whore? Yeah, I guess that is pretty interesting.

Good flick. It definitely had some cheese, but not enough to skew my opinion of it.
