Awww. Cute. :) But are you really in Amsterdam? That's a hell of a plane trip!Do not get me started. Louisville - Chicago flight was delayed so I missed my connection to Amsterdam. They wanted to re-route me through Los Angeles :eek:

In the end I had to go through London (but only because I told the lady at the United desk it was an option, she wanted to put me on today's flight :mad: )

I landed in Amsterdam six hours after I should have.

Oh and they lost my luggage.

We had everything arranged about three times before but every time it fell through for one reason or the other.

Even this time the timing was a bit awkward because of a few things but we were both pretty much fed up with the postponing. (understatement of the year)

so how long have you 2 been together? i kinda only half read the posts in this thread.Well, we "met" on here over a year and a half ago. She had a ticket to Amsterdam at the time (she had already planned a trip before we started speaking) so we were supposed to see eachother within three months time. That trip got cancelled by her sister (who she was supposed to travel with) and subsequent attempts fell through because of various reasons (including her dad having a stroke).

We postponed seeing eachother for a couple of months at a time and ended up meeting this month.

Long overdue but more than worth the wait :o

so, after the 1.5 year wait, and finally meeting, are you still a couple (only stronger), or did the time it took to get to the first meeting, coupled with the time until the next one make you both decide that you're going to re-evaluate in a bit whether it's going to remain a relationship with one of you to make a move in the future?
