I was talking about that with Brett last night, apparently the traditional thing to do is to appoint a family member of the person who is ill. It seems like it might go to his son, if something were to happen.

in '69 there was a very similar scenario with a republican south dakota senator, karl mundt. he had a stroke, yet served the remainder of his term, which concluded in '73, even though he couldn't attend senate sessions.

I know. But it would also be extremely tasteless of him to appoint some sort of Republican when it should have gone to his son (as has been suggested). He'd have to think of how that'll affect him and his ratings and possible re-election and all of that.

The conspiracy was bungled. Better luck next time. ;)

Good to hear he's better. It's really weird to think that he's recovering about 5 minutes away from where I work. Actually anything having to do with politics kinda weirds me out because I'll read it online and look out my window and can see where they are.

Um anyways, yay! :)

Yes, we succeeded much better with Kennedy's assasination and setting up Ted Kennedy with that whole Chappaquiddick thing.

Criminy, we could get the Kennedys but we couldn't muster the conspiracy to take out a single senator froma podunk state like South Dakota? We must be losing our touch....

Hell with the Kennedys. Haven't you heard? 9/11 was nothing but a great big Republican wool pullover!

Well, of course.

We are, after all, MOSTLY successful. What with the Rothschilds and the Knights of Columbus and all our operatives riddled throughout the State and Defense departments.....why.....we're more powerful and obscure than ever.

We're entirely successful at completely hiding ourselves from public view and never exposing ourselves so that bitter crackpots can shine the light of their self-righteousness upon us and tell the world about our eons long conspiracy to control all major world events and keep the wool pulled over the sheeples' eyes.
