My thread about your first job made me realize that I don't know what the majority of you fuckers do for a living.

Me, I was just hired this week as a receptionist/psuedo staffing assistant at a temp firm. Prior to my most recent endeavor, I was a real estate agent at an auction company.

What makes you your paper?

Job right before with was Junior Web Designer. I was with that company for a year and a half.

Now I am under the title of "Web Developer" since I'll be doing design and storefront. I'm lumped in with the IT department. I love the guys I work with. I've only been here a little over a week and we have way too much fun. But do work too, so you know I get paid and it's good.

IT/design departments always have the most fun people. In my experience.

my job used to be entirely lab based but now I do more of a quality control type job in the main office where I spend all day looking at retarded amounts of numbers, numbers and more numbers

for special occasion or when my special skills are needed I get to jump back into the lab though, which is dope

ScarySquirrel
12-14-2006, 05:12 PM
Being that Amway was founded in the city which I currently reside... I can tell you that it doesn't exist anymore. It has changed names to Alticor or something like that...

Anyway, I'm currently titled a customer service representative for the one and only... U-Haul. I work at a U-Haul center which means we aren't that little storage place or anything... that's all we do is trucks, vans, towing equipment, and sell boxes. It sucks but it has its points that make it worthwhile too.

I work for a chemical distributor handling hazardous gases and cryogenic liquids. I fill cylinders with various mixtures of gas for use in labs. The labs use these gases for standards or carrier gas. I use to work in a lab anaylizing said gas mixtures, but I switched up my gig to making them.
I'm actually not at all surprised to hear that you spend your days producing hazardous gases.

I'm a framer/designer. Today I designed a layout for a local news anchor. Last week, I stitched down a pair of Katharine Hepburn's shorts. I also hang rich people's pictures for $100/hr + a coke.

I also teach teenagers how to do algebra, expand their vocabularies, and prepare for the ACT or high school entrance exams. Sometimes I teach little kids how to read and do basic math too. I give them fashion advice, call them "dude" or "pickle" and let them braid my hair.
