If not who are? If they are, who's your second favourite?

They're my favourite band, with my second being The Clash. For a while there I was obsessed with the Clash and they almost overtook the Bboys, but all this cam business has me back.

i dont have a fav band. but beasties would be up at the top with lupe fiasco, fort minor, linkin park, gentle jones and styles of beyond.

They are definitely my favorite. They have changed my life in many ways at various times in my life through their music, who I have met through their music, how their music has made me feel and I will forever be grateful for it.

that was the first cure song i heard. now as a child the film clip scared me a little, but it was the song that made me love the cure.

i don't know if they all like it, but most cure fans i know love the disintergration album, but most choose a different song from it as their favourite.

I wasn't insulting his taste. Or at least not trying to. It's just a lot of the music is the type of stuff I see on VH1 "best of" lists and stuff. Doesn't mean it's bad music, just a coincidence I guess. I don't get VH1 either, but I get Much More Music which is like the Canadian version of it and they have a lot of VH1 shows on there.

heck yeah. they are the only band that has like everything that you could ask for. (for me, anyway) like, different genres of music for the short attention span and for those with an ecclectic taste, layered and well-made, so that even after repeated listens it doesn't sound bad and way repetitive, the "journey" aspects, the parody, humour, and insightful, inspiring lyrics and "keepin it real" :p, and like, yeah, awareness and values and perceptions that are like relatable....and bla bla bla, they are way awesome...

For me the Clash always have been Number 1. I'd have the Beasties right up there in 2nd. The 'in the round' tour in Manchester has to be one of the best gigs I've ever seen.

Bands like Echo & the Bunneymen, Oasis, Groove Armada, Foo Fighters, Public Enemy, De la soul, Athlete, RATM, Happy Mondays, Jam/Paul Weller, Stone Roses would be there abouts too.

I just feel like putting this thought out there right now.

I'm not feeling 100% emotionally today... my stomach's doing flip flops, nerves are all wacky and stuff. Thought I'd try and listen to some metal to convince myself to quit being a wimp and just get angry. Didn't work. Beastie Boys came on my random shuffle and honestly, I'm feeling better already. I know I sound like a complete fruitcake. But I don't care. I hope they know how their work is able to touch people. :o Yeah.
