Anyone remember those rockets you filled with water and then pumped up with air?

Those things were insanely dangerous,after launching them in the air a few times it becomes rapidly apparent to any clever kid that shooting them at each other was much more entertaining.....danger!

Not to mention model rockets in general. Estes and... and... can't remember the other major company. My favorite was this Mars launcher thing -- kind of spidery, red model that took a decent sized engine and went really, really high. (y)

We never had lawn darts as my mother was already terrified of horseshoes.....and my big wheel as well......I think the most serious toy related injury I sustained likely came from cardboard wrapping paper swords(scratched cornea) on Christmas morning....we used to scotch tape them so the battles could last longer.....:)

None of us ever got hit with one.

I did get an "arrow" (sharpened stick) in my head once during a game of cowboys and Indians. Mother's Day. Tons of bleeding. It's a beautiful story, actually.

It's not that the toys are "dangerous" its just that most kids are stupid.

I could give a kid a small plastic bag for Christmas. If he/she decides to use it to try to suffacate themselves, im sorry.

giving kids two stones on strings and telling them to whip them as fast as possible is dangerous.

I remember it,totally.

I also remember a similar themed game but it was "Jaws" and you had to fish things (tires,boot,etc) out of the sharks mouth,with a little gaff pole before it snapped down on your hands...my uncle put a much smaller elastic on the snapping device and the thing could almost break skin......Bob wuz my uncle.....:confused: :mad:
