i have a part time job scanning old local newspapers for a project some professor is doing here, and today i came across the horiscopes in one issue
the issue was form april 18, 1981
what mine told me was pretty spot on to how my life is going right now. it sort of spooked me out.
anyway, i don't read them often, but when i do they seem to capture something for me pretty well, or at least put things into perspective.
what about you?

They are interesting to read and sometimes I find them to be true.

everything Ive read about people born on the cusp of cancer/gemini is retardedly true about me
it actually kind of freaks me out
and the boys I get along best with are those that are supposedly "compatible"

yeah i don't find them to be able to predict anything but they can be right about half of the time for me...i mostly just read horoscopes for fun or if there isn't anything better to read.
and i've pretty much stopped reading them for now because it gets repetitive...

Overall, what Libras are matches up to be me. I like balance in my life, a lot. Out of all my friends, I'm the one that brings the boyfriend/co-worker to outings, the one that's trying to get all my circle of friends to be friends with the others. I like having balance in my life, my social circles, my relationships, everything. They say that Libras are happiest with balance and get very upset when they don't have it, which is true to me. That's the one thing that's particular to Libras that's also particular to me (and not many others I know). So that's kinda neat.
But everything else like "You're loyal/sociable/can be stubborn" crap can apply to a lot of people and I don't take it seriously. But overall what Libras stand for, I can see in myself.
Daily horoscopes are right maybe half the time. I don't read them that often, though.

since i only read the daily ones on a rare occasion that i catch them in the paper, they seem to be fairly accurate for me
but after looking at some of that general zodiac stuff, i'm not so sure about it all. i think some of the general ideas capture me well, but the specifics they list don't always seem to match up
I like the Zodiac constellations. I own a small Pisces medallion that my godfather gave to me as a gift when I was in Greece some summers ago. As for the horoscopes, well they can be interesting sometimes, but I never take them to heart. Nor do I read them ever.

Astrology is goofy fun, but it's bullshit and i can't believe anyone would actually buy into it.

isn't it horoscopes?

^yes
it's made to be as vague as possible so it can apply to anyone at any time. "why, yes, i am concerned about my financial situation and feel that there are great changes ahead in my love life!" go ahead, read a horoscope for a different sign and see if it doesn't apply to you too. besides, the star charts upon which they were all based have been off for centuries because of the wobble in the earth's axis. sure it can be entertaining sometimes, but astrology is a pseudoscience and i don't understand people that seriously believe in it or spend any amount of money on it.
I either laugh at it or don't care about it.

Mine said that an internet friends from California named Jessica will be hit by a bus on the way home from work.
Be careful. :(

from the descriptions of a scorpio/sag cusp, it's pretty spot on. the day to day ones though tend to be hit or miss.

I dont read them.
If horiscopes were 100% accurate I wouldn't read them. I wouldnt want to know whats going to be happening in my life.

I'm pretty typical aquarian in an overall horoscope.
They daily or weekly ones can be very vague tho. I get all the free morning papers and read them on the way to work/during lunch and one of them is very spot on almost every day (can't remember which paper tho).
I read somewhere that they'd made a test at some school where everybody had to give their birthdate (and place/time as well if possible) and they got personalized horoscopes. They all thought they were spookily accurate. After reading they had to switch with the person next to them and they said exactly the same thing....

Would anybody like to explain the link between personality, and balls of gas billions of light years away?
EDIT: Or the link between said balls of gas and hair?

all this astrological talk got me thinking about Saturn Returns, have any of you gone through it? Heard about it? Thoughts? Just another name for quarter life crisis?

Gives you something to talk about if small talk turns stale. Life, unfortunately, is far more harsh!
