NO!

and Justin, I know it's a credit card, doofus. I mean NO ADDITIONAL cards.

I have an old credit card that I never use, I just pay down the balance I racked up when I was living beyond my means. I'm down to about $700. I should just pay it off and get rid of it. meh.

I usually pay my credit card in full like a week before my payment is due, but the past 2 months I've had a balance of between $50-$150 remaining after making my payments and it's starting to give me mild anxiety. Is that ridiculous of me? I'm new to all of this. I always swore I'd NEVER get a credit card, but then I realized I'd probably get deported at some point for being unAmerican.

Never go over 50% of your balance and dont pay it off at the end of each month, bad bad.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean don't go over 50% of the amount of you credit line and not pay it off?

youve got your minimum monthly payment and youve got what you owe in total.
i think she means no matter what you spend, only pay up to half of it off every month above your minimum allowed payment

Gimme some numbers as examples so I can better understand what you're explaining, plz. The wording is confusing me. :o

month one
$1000 - credit limit
$800 - spent
$800 - total balance owed
$100 - minimum payment allowed

you pay $400 (half of balance) you owe $400 after payment

month two
$1000 - credit limit
$500 spent
$900 - total balance owed (spent + owed from last month)
$100 - minimum payment allowed

you pay $450 (half of balance) you owe $450 after payment

month three
$1000 - credit limit
$550 spent
$1000 - total balanace owed (spent + owed from last month)
$100 - minimum payment allowed

you pay $500 (half of balance) you owe $500 after payment

and so on... or i could have this completely wrong. why did i write this

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!! (lb)

And you wrote it because I'm a retard. Thank you for cleaning the proverbial dribble off my chin.

But...wait...so you're both saying you SHOULDN'T pay off your balance at the end of the month?

thats what i am and i think skye is saying

Why though? I mean, wouldn't completely paying off your balance every month be a better reflection on your credit than always having a balance remaining?

ugh i hate numbers but i think it would probably work better by not going up to the limit but staying below and consistant? gjsadlfkghskld this is why i would need to pay someone to do it for me
