i need a good (free) antivirus program. i've been using norton, it came with my computer, but the subscription ran out and i don't want to pay to renew it. what's a good one to use?

I don't know. I have a mac. stop asking so many questions.
I use avast! since a month or so ago. It seems to work.

mine expired & it still was working like a month later of its expiration date, then i finally bought it again,
i say just pay for it its about 20-30 bucks no? (well mine was)

Somebody said AVG or AntiVir are good. But I always think a free anti-virus is like hiring uneducated workers; it'll turn around and go "Hyuck, how did thayat get into system a thirty two a missatuh papuh clip?"

I use AVG 7.5 free version and it picks up all kinds of shit that the other programs didn't. Also, it's a 30 day trial and after that you can uninstall it and reinstall.
