Not remodelling. It's a whole new bridge (http://www.newbaybridge.org/); it's just right beside the to-be-replaced Bay Bridge.

It's kind of a shame, the one they went with. At one point they had a design for a new bridge that sort of looked like a thread-the-needle thing, and it was amazing. But it was voted down because they didn't want the new design to compete with the Golden Gate.
