How does everyone feel about Bond movies? There certainly are a lot of them to choose from, but what is your favorite? Who is the best Bond?

That part's a poll.

The Bond movies were always kind of cheesey, but after The Bourne Identity came out, they became pretty unwatchable to me. So I'd have to go with Casino Royale.

Right now, I'd say Connery is the best Bond, but I have a feeling that Daniel Craig has an arc up his sleeve and he's going to morph into the best one. Meaning: he's probably the best already, but we haven't seen all of who Bond "is" yet in this version.

Sean Connery, it is so obvious!
I think Pierce was not so bad....

Why did they choose an ugly actor to be James Bond in Casino Royale??

Sean Connery every time. Apart from when he's disguised as an oriental person (the disguise being 2 shit, thick eyebrows) in, I think "From Russia With Love".

Yup.(y)
That was a good list, although I think Dalton gets dealt the raw deal.

Hahaha no one will ever forget Remington Steele.

my boyfriend loves bond. LOVES.

he's getting right into dictating to me this week (witness yesterday's irn-bru thoughts) so i thought "hey, why not ask him about one of his most passionate subjects?" i told him the dalton (his favourite) was getting a beating. this, my friends, is his honest to goodness response to your question:

originally dictated by claire's very serious about bond boyfriend ranald:
how many of yous (sic) have read the books anyhow? because james bond is a literary character and therefore the question "who is the best bond?" should really be defined by the parameters "which actor portrays the best cinematic representation of ian fleming's character?"

i think those of you who have read the books will agree that dalton combines the cold, calculating ruthlessness of a career secret service officer whilst at the same time showing glimpses of a richer and more endearing character both in terms of personal relationships (witness the compassion when faced with a female sniper and his intense loyalty in seeking revenge for his friend felix leiter when his bride is brutally murdered on their wedding night - over and above that to his country and employer) and the occasional flashes of humour which are emphasised rather than isolated by their scarcity and yet appearance at moments of high pathos.
(yeah, he's not too good and creating non-epic sentences)

he also added the message should be concluded with the phrase:

"end of."

I rate Dalton over the likes of Brosnan, but, over the piece, he licks balls next to Connery.

Can't compare Brosnan to Connery - I think they both embody different aspects of Bond.

They're my two favorites though. We'll see if this new guy can be the third Bond...making it a trinity.

It's probably Connery, Craig, Moore, Brosnan, Lazenby, Dalton.
