Finally someone makes a topic about this.

Berserk is the most successful manga in Japan and is nearing it's 31st volume there. Dark Horse publishes them in the US but they're only up to 14 so far. The series is set in medival times and is heavy on the gore. One of my favorites.

Death Note is kind of like a detective thriller story. It's about a guy who finds a notebook that allows the owner to act as a grim reaper. It's got about 10 volumes in japan with about 8 out in the US now.

Dead End has 4 volumes and i sabout a man who voluntarily had his memory erased. He goes about trying to rediscover who he really is and runs into old friends with strange abilities. The artwork is pretty unique for a manga. I'm missing volume 4. :(

BLAME! was partially ripped off by the Matrix movie. It's all about the artwork as there is little dialogue. I'm into weird sci-fi stuff and this is one of my favorites.

In Monster, the series follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma as he pursues a young psychopath/sociopath named Johan, whose life Tenma once saved. It is incredibly well written and it's going to become a movie in the US.

Gantz! is damn violent. It's about random strangers that upon death are sent to a room in which a giant black sphere sends them on missions to kill 'aliens'. Can't be purchased in the English format so try looking for fan translations. Actually, you should do that with all of these.

Okay, that's only the beginning. Happy hunting.

I like mangos :)

The Jamaican mango or scientifically Mangifera indica is sometimes called Jamaican mangot, manga and Jamaican mango is native to southern Asia, especially Burma and eastern India.

It spread early on to Malaya, eastern Asia and eastern Africa. Jamaican mangos were introduced to Jamaica in 1780. The Jamaican mango exists in two races, one from India and the other from the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The Indian type is intolerant of humidity, has flushes of bright red new growth that are subject to mildew, and bears monoembryonic Jamaican mango fruit of high color and regular form. The race tolerates excess moisture, has pale green or red new growth and resists mildew. Its polyembryonic Jamaican mango fruit is pale green and elongated kidney-shaped. Philippines types from Mexico have proven to be the hardiest Jamaican mangos in California. Jamaican mangos basically require a frost-free climate.

Jamaican mango flowers and small Jamaican mango fruit can be killed if temperatures drop below 40° F, even for a short period. Young Jamaican mango trees may be seriously damaged if the temperature drops below 30° F, but mature Jamaican mango trees may withstand very short periods of temperatures as low as 25° F. The Jamaican mango must have warm, dry weather to set Jamaican mango fruit.

In Jamaica, the Jamaican mangoes best locations are in the foothills, away from immediate marine influence. In the warmest regions in Jamaica the mangoes flourish however in the coastal regions the most cold adapted varieties are likely to succeed.
