who knows about headphoens?

i really don't even know what to look for. but i just want something that will last for a while and give me a nice sound

Yes, those are very good. I have a pair of Sony headphones that are similar and they are very nice. Bose makes really nice headphones so you might want to check their site.

I use Sony MDR v-600's (for dj'ing) and they have excellent response, a comfortable fit, and a very hearty lifespan

but they're about 3 times the price (n)

I've got three pairs of Sennheisers that I love. One is closed which doesn't really work well for me.

In my opinionthe biggest decision you make headphone wise is whether you want an open set or a closed one.
