I've got 30 days free Live. Playing Gears of War online is fucking unreal. The only problem is I don't have a headset yet, so I don't know what my team is doing. I'll get the starter pack for sure. Every time I turn the thing on, I need to be online.

I don't know if this sounds odd, but it's a very American video gaming experience, the 360. I'm fucking rubbish at Gears, btw. Unless I'm playing Execution mode. I get pwned in Warzone cause I can't communicate.

My only problem with it is the lack of Japanese made games. For this to be corrected, the Japanese would have to accept the 360 collectively. I don't see that happening anytime soon, but imo, success doesn't happen over night. I could point out that they have done remarkably better in Japan over the original Xbox. Come next generation Xbox, they can only get better feedback in Japan. Then again, I could be wrong, but that's how I view the current status of Microsoft's venture into console gaming.

also movies. I saw a few decent selections. You "rent" them, then after a few days it deletes itself off the HD. The shows you can keep. With the point to dollar conversion it works out to be about $2.xx per rental which is cheaper than Blockbuster.

Definately. That's a given. Microsoft has a superb online setup, and much kudos to them. But in terms of games....I've not seen one "killer app" (at least in my eyes) that was a system seller....for either Xbox. The Wii and the PS3 just have more interesting games on the horizon....in my opinion.

I don't mean to turn this into a console debate, but I see very little coming from the PS3 in 2007. Excluding FFXIII, MGS4, and White Knight Story. Those are basically the only exclusives I can think of. The 360 at least has an upcoming line-up to look forward to -- a Gears of War sequel, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Lost Planet, Mass Effect, Infinite Undiscovery, Cry On, Banjo-Kazooie 3, Earth Defense Force X, Enchanted Arms, and Viva Pinata. Until Sony proves me wrong with PS3, currently, I'm saying 360 has good future prospects.

On a related note, exclusives mean nothing now. Games will be exclusive alright, within a 6 month period, then the porting to other consoles begins. Give MGS4 time. You'll see it on 360 over time, regardless of what Konami says.

There's a new game mode for GOW. It's called Annex. It involves capturing territories around prominent weapons on the level. By standing in the circle until it turns your teams colour, you have 'annexed' that spot. You then have to defend it from the other team as they can annex the territory at any time.

Each time a player is killed, they re-spawn at either end of the stage and join the action straight away. You don't have to stay inside the circle to defend it, and your score is tallied by the number of seconds you hold the spot. It will eventually change to another spot on the map, and everybody will make a break for that.

On maps like Escalation and the Catacombs (the big figure 8-ish one) it goes bonkers. So many body parts go flying. The Boomshot is really valuable, and generally the mode is fast-paced and a little chaotic, as you have to work together, or at least get involved in the action. The amount of times people don't see a shot coming is hilarious.

One downside is that it seems a little buggy. Players keep clipping walls on Rooftops, and on Tyro Station one of the territories is right in the middle of the train-tracks. It's great fun having everybody rush to their deaths though. (y)

The price is way to high to ask for a videogame console and almost every day the titles that are supposed to be exclusive such as Assassin's Creed and Devil May Cry 4 are going to the 360.

It's going to be interesting to see if MGS4 ends up on the 360 since Konami will probably force Kojima into it.

I know someone that tells me a lot of videogame rumors and they come true 98% of the time, he even told me that Nights was coming to the Wii about six months ago and he told me MGS4 was going to be on the 360 (y)

Garden: This overgrown and crumbling conservatory still has a working fertilization and pesticide system. This system can pose a serious hazard to anyone who ventures into the greenhouse without first venting the air.

Process: Teams must fight for control of this subterranean Imulsion processing plant, still active despite the cessation of the Pendulum wars.

Subway: Timgad's Central Subway station used to serve as a central hub for commuters. Now the tunnels are crawling with Locust.

You can grab the pack this Thursday for 800 points or wait until Sept. 3, 2007 when all four maps will be available for free.
