I'll either be on Heiress' shit list or hit list forever for making this thread. Oh well.

I'm at work just kind of goofing off and put on Astral Weeks, which is just something. If you're on its wavelength*, it's genius. I think it had some influence on Springsteen's The Wild, the Innocent, and the E. Street Shuffle too, which is worth gold.

Anyway.

im torn between astral weeks and moondance. im just really attached to moondance, the album was (is) sorta ingrained in my memory with luv. but astral weeks is just so... ugh! damn.

I do want to say that 'TB Sheets" is the greatest van morrison song ever. period.

I thought about that for a second, but I figured it wouldn't be fair.

Plus, I was having trouble trimming the great albums down to just nine. There are of others -- Avalon Sunset, Wavelength, Beautiful Vision -- that I think could legitimately be called great Van Morrison albums.
