good spy movies. I've already watched the M:I ones and the 2 Bourne movies. And for me the first M:I is still the best.

But I was wondering if there's others good spy movies that are not so known.

it was the soviet spy network during world war 2. and they were very good. i've got a couple of books about it and it's quite an interesting story, so i assumed there was a movie made on it

It's probably not a spy movie the way you're thinking -- like an action spy movie -- but Notorious (http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:35736) is one of the great movies of all time. Plus you get to watch Hitchcock direct Ingrid Bergman, Cary Grant, and Claude Rains for a couple of hours. Also one of the hottest screen kisses so far. Great, great movie.

Claude Rains is just good. In a way he reminds me of SLJ; he could and should be featured in every movie as himself.

How about James Mason and Martin Landau in North by Northwest? They were great.

Speaking of which: NxNW is pretty much the blueprint for those early Bond movies, anyway.
