Newark. Newark.
"New ark."
Huh? Did the city founders think another flood was coming, but the city would float off with its inhabitants two-by-two?
New ark.

Maybe it was named by a disabled Scotsman?

Maybe the founder left Arkansas?
Newark is actually a proper noun, not simply a lil' ol' word.

Even proper nouns start out small.
Unless it's a teenager naming her baby or something.
I didn't know what PETSMART was because our sign is done completely in red text. So it could have been Pet Smart or Pets Mart. I thought it was Pets Mart until I saw the official website. (http://www.petsmart.com/ps/main.jsp) I was blown away.

No -- that's where Allen Konigsberg was born.
What is a ton of Hous?
Well... a ton.
Did Anthony achieve Sainthood by feeding ribs to the calorically challenged?

i've definitely been more conscious these days of the root word(s) in common terms.

Yeah. Like, "common" is from a Jamaican term for beckoning a fellow. True story.

That's a spot in Neverland where the little children are said to disappear.
Take that as you wish.

Take that as you wish.Too bad I can't edit your posts.
I was watching an Undergod DVD with the 4 year old yesterday. Clever use of language, not just in the protagonist, but really overall. Too advanced for a 4 year old -- hence why I was watching it with him -- but clever. Simon Sinister. Riff Raff. Polly Purebred.

A-Z, is 'Player' with Tim Robbins any good?I'm not a-z, but I like Player. It's by Altman, right?
abcdefz

Yeah, it's Altman.
I like it a lot. Plus Gretta Scatchi is something to behold. (y)
Robbins is great in it. Peter Gallagher is great. It's probably the most accessible thing Altman's ever done.
If you have no idea who all's in it, you're going to crap yourself when you see all the cameos.

Oh, lordy. She's good in this one, tough. The tampon/questioning scene alone is priceless.
She's probably got ten minutes of screen time, all together. You'll live.
