Okay, I was recently having some health problems. I had had this lump on the side of my thumb and since cancer runs in my family, I began to panic. I told this to a trusted friend of mine and while I wouldn't consider myself to be a religious person (I consider myself "confused" or "searching" ) she is and she's a member of the Church of the Basics. She said that she'd put in a prayer request for me and I was like "sure, it can't hurt" but I really did not expect anything from it. I woke up this morning and the pain is gone and the lump is a lot smaller and almost gone. I feel really good.

I don't know what to think or believe about religion now. I am seriously considering joining the church.

The Church's website is http://churchofthebasics.tripod.com and they accept prayer requests regardless of whether you are a member or not. They do not ask you for anything. They help you regardless. A lot of religious people are straight up phonies but I believe that these people are for real.

For real....maybe it was just a crumb from something you ate earlier that day and it fell off in your sleep

I bet it was a piece of bone that chipped off the end of your finger inside and now it's trying to birth itself and grow into a human baby.
