I've been sick for about a week. I went to the doctor and they said I have a viral infection and there is nothig they can give me I just have to ride it out...oh and I can expect to be sick for a weekand a half and have a lingering cough for two-three weeks. wow. thats great news. no cure...just "ride it out"?
and I've offically reach that point where I'm really sick of being sick. you guys know what I mean?
and I want to go back to bed...except thera-flu night time is giving me some fucked up dreams. the only good part of my dreams was that Roselyn Sanchez (http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/he/photo/movie_pix/mtv/mtv_movie_awards_2003_photos/roselyn_sanchez/mtv17.jpg) from "Without a Trace" was coming on to me and I was flattered cause she's hot.

Hope you feel better. There's a wave of colds running through this area right now.
But yeah -- I know what you mean. I was just sick for about a week and was grumpy and hating it. Christmas Day = puking. Fun.
What is it about a fever and weird dreams? I have always had the most bizarre dreams when I am sick.

No idea.
I kind of think of dreams as discharge -- like the brain sort of tossing out the trash or something. Which would make even more sense with fever dreams. But who knows?
We're still not sure what yawns are for, either.
Next time you're in a meeting, try this little experiment: Take a big yawn, cover your mouth out of courtesy, and watch and see how many people yawn. There's a good chance that you'll set off a chain reaction of yawns.
We know yawning is involuntary because we do it even before we are born. Research shows that 11-week-old fetuses yawn.

this would make sense because I had watched 4 back to back episodes of "Without a Trace" last night before nodding off. or maybe that was the night before..but whatever.

My dreams are usually things tangentially related to minutiae from about two days earlier. Like clockwork. Weird.

go buy some olive leaf extract. As soon as I get the inkling feeling of illness coming on I take a shitload of those and it seems to stop it before it starts...or if I am sick it speeds up the process.

I think it's because she can't act, tries too hard, and looks fake.
Sorry to hear about the 'viral' infection. I swear science will cure cancer before the common cold. Sleep and liquids worked for me, but I was pretty sick for about 3 weeks.
Sometimes if I am thinking about a particular thing before I fall asleep it comes up in my dreams. For this reason I count Kate Beckinsale instead of sheep.
^ Nice.
I used to set my alarm to 6:00 am, turn on Stern, take a bong hit or two, and go back to sleep and I would incorporate what they were talking about into my dreams. Like once Jackie was talking about some party he had, and I dreamt I was there and experiencing all the stuff they were talking about.
It worked like once or twice a week. Good times good times.
My friend and I were talking about fevers and crazy dreams once and he was telling me about how he had a fever of like 103 and there was this really weird Tom and Jerry episode on that had a weird beginning and some mad scientist and what not and it scared the fuck out of him. About 10 seconds later that exact episode came on the boob tube. It was crazy. I thought that maybe I was dreaming because of the insane coincidence.

ohhhhh yeah yeah yeah. This has happened to me but without the bong hit. I had this really lucid dream after my clock radio had gone off and Tears for Fears "sewing the seeds of love" was on and in my dream. so like I could hear the music but I was fully asleep dreaming fucked up shit about ghosts and stuff.

i haven't been hit this hard by something in a while. (i got sick a lot toward the end of the year, which looked reaaal good with the new job.) it's been days and days and i barely feel better. my voice was completely gone for the first two days and then returned in a whisper on the third, now it's back about 90% but this postnasal drip makes me cough as soon as i lie down to go to sleep. last night it was so awful i had to curl up on the sofa so as to let my boyfriend sleep. i even gave in and took some nyquil gelcaps :( ugh. some oil of oregano or olive leaf extract is definitely on the list today.

Randy, I wanna be your throat firemen and extinguish the inflammation, followed by a generous vitamin SHOT... ;)

it's 5:30 in the morning and i am still up. i've gotten maybe 2 hours of sleep because i kept coughing, and kept my boyfriend up too. i think i have a gnarly sinus infection. i'm going to the doctor. i hate calling in sick to work, especially this may times. this has ruined a whole week. :(
