My friend said he once heard an mp3 of a beasties concert were they looped up the little break down in Rush's "Tom Sawyer" and rapped over it. Anyone know where i can hear it?

"In the round," not the "pageant" shows.

rush = great canadian band

but also #1 band ever where you can only listen to about 4 or 5 of their songs and then have to change to something else

You hear all sorts of Tom Sawyer in hip-hop mixes everywhere, man. My boy Z-Trip uses it a lot along with a few other DJ's of which it would appear that Mix Master Mike is one of.

Rush is totally underrated.

Mike and the skratch piklz have actually been using that break for over a decade. That juggle is on Q-Bert's "Demolition Pumpkin Sqeeze" tape which came out in 1994. It wouldn't suprize me if they were doing that routine long before that. Mike just incorporated it into his intro when he started DJing for the Beasties. But yeah, I just wanted to be clear that the routine is all Mike and the scratch piklz, its not a Beastie Boys thing other than through Mike.
