Hi everyone,

Anybody knows what hardware or effects were used to make the intergalactic crazy intro 'intergalactic-another dimension-planetery' ? I mean, not the exact equipment, but generally, how are such effects done?

I hope my english's ok, I'm from Québec.

Thanks,

Fred

It's a Vocorder mate. I'm not sure on the exact models or type used, but it's definitely that.

edit: oh, and i'm no expert, but i'm pretty sure you just speak through it via a mic and it gives you that cheesey 80's sound, depending on settings etc. i could be talking shit though.

word, a vocoder mic plugs right into a compatible keyboard or synth and you can speak words through the tone. you can often change the sound on the synth too to make different voicings. it's similar to how a talkbox for a guitar works.
