like filling out my timesheets and expenses claim forms for my management company for example - turns out I have been doing them wrong for about 6 weeks.

What an idiot. The woman on the phone laughed at me but she was quite nice and said if I redid them at home tonight, we could go through them together tomorrow morning.

It's like being back at school :o

I also have still not worked out how to turn the back wipers off on my car, without switching off the engine :o

Heather, I had just the same problem once. Just yank that lever back and forth a couple of times, that should do it...

you would not believe the trouble i had at the castle temple of zelda where i had to stand on a block, boomerang a lamp to get the fire out so a block infront of me would rise and i would (supposedly!) just walk on to it. bitch kept on FALLING OFF THE EDGE TOWARDS THE MUVVERFUCKING LAMP not TOWARDS THE EDGE I ACTUALLY HAD TO GET TO. RETARD. scott was all like "it's easy! just don't press A and roll and just step across before it goes above the point of no return!" and i got very

I tend to put things off that seem mundane in my mind. For instance---I moved to Texas over 6 months ago and we bought a nice new computer. I have a very nice Logitech wireless mouse in its box. I kept using the mouse that came with the computer. It would freeze and the cable would get tangled. I kept using it and cursing it and would see the wireless mouse box and do nothing. This morning I installed the wireless mouse and my mind is going to explode. It is like the Cadillac of mouses and I was driving a Yugo for 6 months for no apparent reason other than laziness. The icon is flying around like it just smoked a crack rock.
When I worked for a County Government they required 4 or 5 forms to be filed on Friday. What have you done that week---account for each hour--etc. I was always negligent in this duty and my boss would always say--you are lucky that you are creative with your work or you would be hitting the pavement. I guess simple things=mundane and are the reason for the saying--why do it today when you can put it off until tomorrow. Is that a saying?-- or did I twist an insightful and useful saying to make it fit my apathetic sloth brain?

Yes, I sympathise with your mouse situation.

When I bought my new broadband I got 2 new handsets for my home landline as the 'hub phone' which came with the broadband package, was out of stock at the time. They sent it to me about a month later.

So now I have 3 brand new flashy handsets sitting in their boxes because I can't be bothered to work out how to a) change my current landline phones and b) work out what the 'hub' phone does c) and try to find out what the number for it is

Meh would be the appropriate ending to this post.

I haven't been able to sleep in a couple of days. That should be simple, right? Last night, I even used a sleeping aid. No dice.

You know the sad thing is that I have a wireless keyboard still in the box. Should I install it today? Nah.

We all joke that our timesheets are the hardest part of our jobs. It's because we're contractors so we have to enter a billion numbers and if we screw up any column, we have to cross it out, initial it, write on the back of the sheet why we screwed up, sign and date it. It'd be so much easier if we do everything in pencil but they want to track everything and see all changes in case we get audited or something.
