View Full Version : Volunteering.
I'm being forced to do 15 hours of it due to some little chaos with the police. But I really have no idea what would be the easiest to do for volunteering, I'm looking for the easiest work and I can only thing of assisting with gardening lol. Can anyone suggest some things?

it's not volunteering if you're being forced to do it
True, I should be saying 'community service'
I don't know where you live, but my ex got a DUI and had to do community service. He ended up helping with the Adaptive Ski School at one of the local ski resorts. It was helping handicapped people ski. He not only got the reward of helping and seeing this amazing accomplishment, but got to ski at the same time.
His other option was shoveling dog shit at the local animal shelter.

I love that!
I volunteer with the anti cruetly society awe (http://www.anticruelty.org/) ...in the surgery recovery department, it's something new I've started this year and it's so heartbreaking, but so rewarding.
Last year I also did a lot of work with Chicago Cares...they have these types of organizations all over, tons of different projects to get in on, not just old people and kids. make a difference! (http://chicagocares.org/)

Don't just look for something easy...look for something you like to do so it won't feel so much like a punishment. I've done Big Brother, meals on wheels, some stuff for The Red Cross, and a lot of like mentoring programs for "troubled" or "high risk" youths....it wasn't cus a judge told me too either it's just fun.
