I want a different style. I want my fringe back, otherwise I look like Meg Griffin with the whole a-line/bob thing. But I don't want "Does this haircut make me look retarded" type of fringe anymore. Something.. Scene-esque. :(

Okay, so post your own and stuff. I want the input without putting me down. (i.e. don't say I'm ugly'n shit, thanks.)

but i don't think i could pull it off that short. i'm kind of growing mine out right now...i don't know if i'll make it to below my shoulders. i haven't had really long hair in years, and my hair's so thick that it'd be awesome to actually have some layers in it and make it all huge and volume-y. at the moment it's really shaggy and sort of joan-jett-y, and when i style it up it's all about volume. but my hair is very thick and sorta straight, so i have to get lots of layers for it to have texture.

my bangs are kinda long right now so i brush them to the side, but otherwise i just let them hang down. they get in my eyes a little, but if i blow dry them with a curved brush and all they stay where they should and it's ubersex. :cool: it's really layered in back and gets kind of wispy at my neck. and the layers on top are longer than the ones on the bottom. i'm really happy with this cut, even though a lot of people have told me they liked my old angled bob better. (funny, i don't remember asking. bastards.) i can really mess with it with some wax or mouse and go all out if i want to, or i can let it lie flat and it still looks decent. the ends are just long enough to put in tiny pigtails, and the bangs look pretty rad with them. i hope that helps!

The first time I had red in my hair it lasted forever. I think it depends on who does your hair I guess. Unless you do it just via box color, not sure how that works. I'm always to chicken to do my own hair.

So i'm taking the plunge.The appointment is booked for 17th February.

I'm going to have my hair cut short. Since my wedding 2 years ago it has got shorter and shorter (it's currently just above shoulder length) but now i'm bored and it's got to go.

I've chosen a style...unfortunately it belongs to a woman who is currently Britain's most hated person - Jade from Big Brother.

thanks. yeah, somehow no matter what, unless I get some dye that's like blue black, my hair ends up reddish.

this was last year when I lightened it. I put some dark brown over that a few months ago, but it was starting to wash out and look dull. so I put "brown black" color on this time. I left some lighter chunks in the front though. also, my hair is too thick/long to fully saturate it anyway. I probably should've gotten two packs of color. oh well. it turned out aight.

ha, actually, my hair was long there, it just looks funky because the longer layers were behind my shoulder. I cut my own hair, I didn't do a very good job of blending :o

gather them together in the front and hold them in a chunk and cut straight across. then I brush it out, check the length and go back with thinning shears and cut in. after that you can go in and point cut to make it less blunt.

my mom's a hairdresser, she taught me. it's kind of hard to explain I guess. she thins them out more than I do, to make them more wispy...but I'm a hipster, so I keep them sorta fat and cartoony. :/
