Does anyone know what lineage(s) of Buddhism is/are practiced by the Beasties? Are each of the them Buddhist or just MCA? Pardon the ignorance, just curious about who "schools" the Beasties..thanks, Nik

Hi. I do not know the exact type of Buddhism that Adam Y. studies/practices, but i'm inclined to say that he follows the words of the Dalai Lama and reads texts such as The Tibeatan Book of Living and Dying. On the Beastie Boys' site, he once said he read a book by His Holiness called A Flash of Lightning in the Dark (the chapter on Patience, particularly). Maybe you could read this months Rolling Stone (Panic at the Disco on the cover) because there is an interesting article titled, "the end of tibet." It sheds light on the fragility of the Tibetan culture due to China's unrelenting occupation and exploitation of the land and spiritual practices, the hienous abuses, and sneaky plans for the future. The part about the Panchen Llama is incredible. anyway, i hope this helped.
