in fairness, i dont think the Wii could handle THAT level of graphic, but a scaled down version would be doable of course, it just seemed a bit epic.

Not sure about the cars but so what, it's fucking Ghostbusters. One suggestion though, they need to designate a button specifically for making Venkman spit one liners.

When I watched that video, I immediately thought "Gears of War". Well, I for one am happy to hear it's currently exclusive to the Xbox 360, as it needs more perks to make people wanna buy the console. I wouldn't hold my breath on that, though. I would imagine we'd see a PlayStation 3 version sometime down the road, providing that developer can crank out another version on the PlayStation 3. I've been hearing development costs are high on it.

You can really tell it's based on the Gears of War engine though. It looks a lot like it especially with the whole character-off-to-the-left-side-of-the-screen thing.

I have no idea why anyone on earth would think this game looks boring. You are a ghostbuster, and get to blast things up. All of that = AWESOME.

If you don't like shooting ghosts and messing ish up via proton pack, you probably have a vagina.

for that matter, most video games are the same old crap. Every time someone comes up with something innovative, everyone else jumps on the bandwagon and milks the hell out of that trend making some "me too" kind of crap. I wouldnt be a bit suprised if I see "Clarinet Hero" or "Grand Theft Wheelchair" on the store shelves in the next six months.

Kind of like Battlefront. I love Star Wars so the fact that I'm able to shoot the shit out of Ewoks or blow them up or take down AT-ATs on Hoth... I get super excited and in to it.

I think that is a bit of a stretch. I can see someone being a hero at a concert when the guitar player suddenly breaks his finger and can't play and the band can't go on without the guitar so they look all sad and forelorned and then a fan in the crowd says "Hey, I can play!" and then the band gets a look of hope and tell security to let the guy on up and so the guy plugs in the guitar because it was unplugged by the sad band guitar player and then the fan guy says "ok" and so the lead singer goes "alright, lets do this. One, two, one, two, three, four" and the fan guitar player is so intune with the band that he knows what song they are playing right away and jams on with them the whole night and the crowd goes crazy and beer sales are double that night and the cigar smoking boss who is up in the lux box watching the show folds his arms over his suit and smiles with a cigar in his mouth and says to no one "the guy is a guitar hero."
That would never happen at a big band show or a marching band performance on the football field. They would just play without a clarinet.

Ain't nothing wrong with FPS per se. It's just that this particular game doesn't look like anything new. I definitely appreciate the idea of branching off from the original GB concept and starting a new look and design for the ghostbusters, but I don't think this new game is doing the franchise justice. It could be better.
