There was an article about the equipment they used in different eras in "Scratch" magazine. Check out issue #9. Or read the article in this link http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=59592&highlight=%22scratch+magazine%22

Why does it always take a handful of posts before anyone answers questions around here? Who cares if he (DJ Trouble) spelled "Licensed" wrong. We obviously all knew what he was talking about.
Sir Scratchalot, it was very nice of you to help DJ Trouble out.

Sorry DJ Trouble...I just can't take someone seriously when they misspell the album. I thought maybe they were just joking around. Like when people misspell lose and loose.
Don't forget the Beasties themselves made fun of someone requesting them to play Ill Communication in Madison, WI...and again when someone referred to PB as Paul's Boe-tique in Chicago.
