rolling calendar of 40 hours per 12 months, which is fuck all really.

beyond 40 hours you are subject to being on "warning" which means if you go another 40 hours of being sick, you are subject to termination. This would of course be up for review if you had mono or cancer or something.

I will be at 34 hours effective today until sometime in March, and at that time I will once again get "sick".

I don't get paid for my sick leave as a contractor

but in the 6 years I have been working, I have only had 1 day off sick

Who is the comedian who does the bit about "Calling in well to work" it goes like "I’m sorry Sir I won’t be in the office to day as I am perfectly fine.I’m calling in well.”…..great concept, very wise…...I think it’s George Carlin ….we just instituted mental health day’s on top of regular accumulated sick time....viva la proletariat!
