It's gotta be G-Child. She posted on this board a few years ago, back in 2004. She's definitley a Beasties fan.

That show is a joke. There are lots of quality white rappers out there. Beastie Boys, Eminem, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Lady Sovereign, etc.

G-Child's profile (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/member.php?u=10373)

she has one post on record that says she's a "white rapper chick" from PA

I'm glad its her who was chosen over "Jah Jah"

I see that girl spamming myspace all the time with her "why havent I been signed yet", and her music is pretty bad....

that show is god awful...i watched some of it between 8 Mile and AIFST ... you know- "White Rapper Night" on VH1

I wonder why they didnt ask the Beastie Boys to be the hosts of this show? Why they went to a washed up rapper like Search is beyond me.

I guess Vanilla Ice and Snow were too busy!:D

i saw that and thought of you :)

it's kind of hard not to watch that show for some reason =/
it's absolutely dreadful (yeah i'm sounding like that guy from american idol now) but it's just so stupid, you kinda of want to see what happens...

i watched some of it between 8 Mile and AIFST ... you know- "White Rapper Night" on VH1

right before they showed AIFST that night, it said that "8 mile" was going to be on next.

I feel the same way, it's like a car crash, you don't want to look but you can't turn away.

I'm almost offended that they call themselves rappers and almost no one knew that they were playing a Run-DMC song on the "You Better Recognize" game.

Yea i couldn't believe NO ONE got "Run's House"
I gotta admit I like the show. I think some of those guys are pretty talented and most of them got a good respect for Hip Hop culture and such, so i'll show some love. Plus John Brown cracks me up anytime he talks.... GHETTO REVIVAL!

P.S. John Brown i think is the most talented right now. Did you hear the one line he had, somethin like "holdin down the BX, thought about Malcom so my last name could BE X" too hot

I think instead of "You've Got Mayo" they should have made it "You've Got Miso". Mayo is very fattening, while Miso has many nutritional benefits. I also was very happy that Grandmaster Caz chided the white rappers for cursing in their ciphers.

the kid with the "fever" shirt has gotta be a beastie boys fan and quite possibly a member here.

I watched the show and it was kinda good. the thing is that these white rappers are trying to be too "black". I mean, why not be "original" like the beasties were/are? sure, the beasties in some fashion sounded black with rapping but they rapped in thier own manner which seperated them from the rest of the hip hop world. thats whay these kids should do: create thier own style.

I put together a CD with two tracks by all of them. Here is what I got..

100 Proof is ill. Sounds kinda like Everlast but I like him. Sullee, Boston boy, has some good tracks and does good with the Billy Squier sample. Danceable too. Dasit would be one of the illest white MCs out there.... if he didn't sound EXACTLY like Eminem. John Brown (King of the Burbs / Ghetto Revival) is surprisingly decent. A lot of these rappers have that dirty south beats going on. Jus Rhyme isn't that bad. Persia, I just can't stand her. She is like the Hip Hop version of Rosie O'Donnel. SHe disses Misfit on a track. Misfit sounds like a pop version of Hip Hop but it's listenable + she disses Fergie. Shamrock and Jon Boy are dirty south type.. I dunno... G Child is straight up horrble.. voice is week.. beats suck.. Anyway.. I listened to my white rapper CD once and that is what I got..

I watch the show and it is a joke but all of those rappers have something. They may bot be great but seriously, people are giving them shit because they are white. If it was The (Black) Rapper show and their were a bunch of Lil Jon's on there, people would be all up on that shit. Believe that.

I don't know why knowing the history of Hip Hop is a must. What if I just heard the Beastie Boys for the first time today and decided tomorrow I wanted to be a rapper? And I had skills to rhyme and mix word play? And I could scrath and beat box and etc.. why would I have to go back and learn about what Hip Hop was like in 1975? They always tell you that you have to know where it came from and how it came from blacks and latinos in the hood, but they never tell you who invented the two turntables and the microphone (the non-blacks and non-latinos).. but anyway, save that for another day.

100 Proof was the most original one on there but he's gone. They didn't want him to win anyway, he didn't have the look even though he had the most Hip Hop knowledge.

Sullee doesn't need the 100G's because he is gonna be famous anyway.

Those were the two I was rooting for but they're both gone..

Jon Boy, John Brown & Shamrock are all doing that Dirty South thing. It's not bad for dirty south hip hop. People are shitting on them but they sound like every other dirty south hip hopper. If you don't like the dirty south style of Hip hop, then fine.. whatever.. I'm not into that stuff but sometimes it feels good to hear someone rhyme without dropping an n-bomb every 7 seconds.. and their lyrics aren't as bad as someone like Lil Jon..

Jus Rhyme is on some pro-blackkk shit. It disgusts me because half the shit he rhymes about is bullshit anyway and the only reason why he does it is for balck acceptance (as seen in the barber shop).

Dasit (who left in the first episode) could be the best rapper in the world if he didn't sound so much like Eminem. And that is what a lot of people are saying (about sounding like Eminem) but the funny thing about that is, 75% of the rappers you hear on the radio or BET all have the same monotoned voice and you can't tell them apart. But because Dasit sounds like Eminem, his career will never move. Hmm..

Misfit was hot as f*ck on the show but her style is very unoriginal and if she wasn't so damn hot, nobody would care.

Persia thinks she is Latino and she uses the n-word like it is OK for her to. I hate female rappers that act hard, they come off sounding like morons. She is probably gonna win though, I hear she is Serch's cousin.

G-Child? No offense to her because she is doing her thang... but once again I can't take tough girls seriously and she sounds like she learned how to rap listening to Vanilla Ice and ICP.. Oh wait, she did...

All of the racial stereotypes are bullshit too.. Pay attention to the show.... "You've got Mayo", "The WHite House", "White Rappers on board"...etc.. If this was turned around and said "black ___" and "black ___", someone would be fired..

And why did they have Brand Nubian on there, they hate white people and Lord Jamar disrespected all of them..

Like Sullee said "What does knowing black stereotypes have to do with me being a rapper".. Exactly...

She's mess. I dont think she is trying to sound latino at all. she is sounding like white trash. plain and simple. I want to see her get through life and getting a good job sounding like that. But I guess if they need a white version, female version of the Fat Boys, they should pick her.:D

as for her being search's cousin, I dont think its true. I work with Serch's wife's cousin @ the fever and he would have mentioned her. But Ill ask him.

I don't think you're seeing the bigger picture. Ego Trip is a pretty heady group of motherfuckers. The show was obviously created as entertainment, but also to make a point in a funny way.

Are most of the kids on the show clowning themselves? Definitely. But I think the show makes a lot of subtle points about society and race in a clever fashion.

I think we all want racism to "just go away", but it isn't going to without some conscious thought and deliberate action.

And where do you get that Brand Nubian hate all white people? Do you know any 5 percenters?
