Because it deserves its own thread.

Can O'Reilly handle the truthiness? (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/artslife/story.html?id=db537bf5-aa9f-4632-a55b-f6bf2cf10ca5&k=99538)

Did anyone else catch this besides Droppin' and myself? What'd you all think?

I liked how the people off camera during O'Reilly's show kept laughing.

I enjoyed it, Q&A. I posted links (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=1396420&postcount=23) of the shows for those who missed them. :)

I loved when Colbert held up the book and it had the 30% off sticker on it...
Hilarious.

i was hoping it would be a little more brutal, although, the comment colbert made about john stewart being a sexual predator and that orielly has NO idea, almost made me shit my pants. i was in disbelief.

but the rest of it, i though, was a little soft. the 30% sticker was hilarious. but colbert didnt really "stick it to him". i knew it probably wouldnt turn into a shouting match, but thats what i was hoping for. i remember bill kristol being on a while back, and colbert repeatedly bringing up PNAC and making him uncomfortable- thats more of what i was hoping for.

i thought stewart did a lot better job when he was on hardball, or whatever that cnn show was.

I thought it was more subtle in his approach. Which was fine for me. What I liked was the homoeroticism towards O'Reilly, continually calling him handsome, showing that "picture" and stuff like that. You could tell Bill wasn't enjoying THAT.

If you wanna see Colbert really nail a conservative, look no further than Tuesday's show with Dinesh D'Souza. That guy has a book on how liberals are "responsible" for 9/11 (i.e. decadent values as espoused by Hollywood and stuff like gay marriage made the terrorists want to strike at America). Colbert took him to TOWN! (y)

D'Souza is obviously right. I bet if all of America dropped their leftist views and became fundamentalist Christians, the Muslims wouldn't have any problem with us anymore.

I mean, that's just common sense.

and built up the military presence in the middle east and lent more support to israel, don't forget

the terrorists would have loved that

yeah, i felt "proud" watching that...i dont know why...maybe it was that it just felt so good, to be in their arena, and to hear them just made total asses, and debunked in front of america. im sure not that many people were watching anyways, but thanks to the net, it will always be a click away. im going to cuddle up with my computer now and fall asleep.
