Damn! I don't even have my W2's yet, and I bet I'm going to owe the state, again!
Kids as deductions are overrated.

I'm sure there are other compensations. :)

I haven't gotten my W2's yet! I don't know when to expect them, I figure the end of the month. I really hope both employers took out more than enough so I'll get refunds. I had to pay the past two years because the dentist I work for didn't take out taxes, though I told him to. Both years. I owed $800 each time.
Luckily, my parents agreed to pay for it because they were deducting my school (though I paid for it), and the money they saved was about the same amount I owed. So it worked out. But I really want money back this year, I need it.

My state refund wasn't much, but my federal is almost as big as my Christmas bonus was.
Whoo hoo!

I haven't gotten a refund in a while. I'm independent now and can't be claimed, plus I've been working at my current job since July making a decent salary. And before that, I had been working about 20 hours a week at the dentist office. So I *should* be getting back a decent chunk of change, right?
Right?
I hope so, I need to pay for grad school dammit.

Yeah. My new job is less demanding than I'd thought it would be. :)

I think California tries to be too eco-friendly to require unnecessary paper-filing if possible. Us EZ Taxx folks get off easy.
