Yet Three Amigos and Christmas Vacation are two of my favorite movies of all time.

Dichotomies such as this are about as deep as I get.

I just was talking about this same thing last night. I say he was good in Dirty Work, my wife says he wasn't. Either way he is a real son of a bitch.

I don't mean to sound ignorant but why is he a son of a bitch?

I think he is a real son of a bitch cause I heard him on a radio show (stern I believe) just being all cockfaced about questions and accusing people of shit just because he had no quick comebacks. Plus his Late Night show sucked balls.

Hard.

He's an arrogant prick in real life, apparently. He acts like he's way more talented than he really is. He butted heads with a number of former SNL cast members and it's been heavily reported that he has that quintessential douchey "my shit doesn't stink" celebrity attitude.

I remember a few years back during the SNL 25th anniversary special, he and Dan Akroyd introduced the segment in remembrance of John Belushi. Chevy Chase made some pretty tasteless, passive aggressive comments alluding to Belushi's lack of talent. Granted, that opinion is arguable to some, but bringing it up at that moment was completely uncalled for. There's a time and a place for that kinda shit.

He has a history of being an asshole, he was banned in 1997? from being a host on SNL again for raging on the crew. and it goes on.

I used to have basically all the late 70s SNL episodes on VHS but I think my brother took them with him to the mountains once about 5 years ago, and they didnt return when he did

My best friend's husband filmed a movie with him a couple of years back in Romania. He was an asshole the entire time. They were very secluded with little access to anything or anyone but the cast and crew and the building they were shooting in and he was very standoffish, drank a lot and got verbally abusive quite often.

he once told an openly gay cast member of SNL that the perfect character for him would be to play an AIDS patient that weighs himself every week to see how the wasting syndrome is affecting him.

yeah and I read thqt he brawled with Bill Murray. Either he said that murray was a mediocre talent or it was murray that called chevy a mediocre talent, but either way they fucking had it out.

Personally I prefer Murray.
