Absolut isn't as good as people believed. Grey goose I have yet to try, but constantly hearing great things about it.

you know your vodka (y) grey goose is a little over rated for it's price but it's just as easy as drinking water

Anyone tried Trump's new vodka yet? I don't even know if it's on shelves yet. They just had the release party on Wednesday night.

Vodka that seems to run cheaper than Five O' Clock. Zhenka is the only vodka that made me puke right after drinking a bit before being drunk. I just puked the vodka and nothing else. My friend tried it later and did the same.

If I'm at a nice dinner I like to get a digestif...preferrably a port or sherry after the meal. But normally any high end vodka will do. But both of these occations is very rare since I'm a red wine / beer drinker.

a friend gave me some maker's mark bourbon as a gift

it's delightful

expensive as shit so i won't be buying it regularly, but it's lovely

i like jack daniels a little better, but i usually end up buying jim beam a lot of the time. $20 for a 1.75liter bottle? yes please

i usually drink it for punitive reasons though, so i'm not exactly doing it for the taste

I like single malt Scottish whiskys, preferably the smoky, tarry, seaweedy, mainly from highlands or islays. MacAllan, Bunnahabain, Bruichladdich, Bowmore, Laphroaig, Glenlivet, Glenfiddish, Lagavullin, Oban, Scapa, Talisker.... Some Irish are good as well, likeTullamore Dew, and I always use Jameson for my Rusty Nails.
Other poisons of my choice are sweeter: different herbal, coffee or cocoa liquors for drinks (43, Drambuie, Kahlua, Parfait Amour even) and I was introduced to Southern Comfort last autumn and was sold and Bristol Cream is always a hit.

Thats good Single Malts listed right there. :)

Highland Park from Orkney is my favourite.

I mainly go for vodka. I dont fuss too much on "expensive brands" one of my favourites is Glens, a Scottish made one. £6.99 a 70cl bottle. Enjoying some now with Pomegreat pomegranite juice in.

Lovely.

I heart Gran Marnier. A bit of that and I'm anyone's girl.

Myers's dark rum is a fave as well.

Me too. The liquor store near me sometimes puts Jack on sale, $23 for a handle. I stock up then.

I never made the connection that Jack is so cheap for those near (relatively) to Tennessee, until I visited Canada. It cost $28 for a regular-sized bottle! It makes sense since they gotta import it, but damn.

I never thought I'd be a whiskey girl. Not in a million years.

I must also include those crazy Chu-Hi cans from Japan. Rice schnaps with about 30 fruit flavors available (melon, apple, grape, sour lemon etc.) . Between 2 and 8%, you can start for breakfast. It's like drinking soda at first, but like anything in Japan it gets to you in a crazy way sometime later, maybe after a couple of Guarana cigarettes... (y)
