Have you ever had an experience like this?
I was driving a few days ago around my city listening to TT5B (I don't know EXACTLY all the lyrics of the songs because english is not my first lenguage and I definatley HATE go searchin' 'em on the internet or read 'em on the little book inside the CD, I love to understand by myself) so I was listening to "3 The Hard Way"....a song that I listened so many times, but while I was driving I was not payn' attention to it....ALL SUDDENLY my brain recognized something: Yauch said a few phrases in italian.....but I was like "No...that's not right..." I pushed the rewind button and listened again "DAMN! SO IT'S TRUE! HE SPEAKS ITALIAN!"...
and this was the first one....
That afternoon I went to a CD-DVD shop in a city next to mine (bigger than mine) and found out the Beastie Boys Anthology DVD...so i bought it "at the flight" (as we say in Italy)...I went home and watched it with the band comment....when the "Alive" video ended I heard Yauch talkin' italian again, sayn "Finalmente!" ... and I was like "damn...."
and anyway they do it also in "What comes around goes around" lyrics...but they talk about food :D

so....there's something italian inside the Beastie Boys...expecially in Yauch

Oh hell yeah! Those tshirts...they were wearin' 'em at the italian TT5B tour date! Lookin' at the meaning the most funny is not AdRock's one but MikeD's one...because at least:

- on Yauch's one is written "Buona Forchetta", that litterally means "nice/good fork"...and when we say that we mean that someone has high taste for food and loves to eat!

- on AdRock's one is written "Mr. Bucatini"....that means exactly what you read..except for Bucatini...that's a particular size of pasta that we use in here (the typical recipe is "bucatini all'amatriciana": they lok like spaghetti but they are thicker and "drilled" part to part...in fact the name "bucatini" means that: little holed/perfored/pierced/drilled example of Bucatini (http://www.geocities.com/and_pollett/BUCATINI.JPG)
example of Bucatini all'amatriciana (http://www.italianrecipes.ws/lazio/ricette/lazio_003_immagine_bucatini_alla_matriciana.jpg)

- On MikeD's one is written "E Andiamo!!!"...and it's the typical italian exultation of a football lover when his favourite team scores a goal... the scene is: you are calm sitting on the sofa with your BF while he watchs the football match....all suddenly he starts sayn "si....si....vai! vai!" that means "yep...yep....go! go!!!" while the football player get closer to the goal....and then, when the goal goes on your BF jumps up screamin' "E ANDIAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" and you are on the floor for the violence of his "gettin' up" action...

what does Che Cazzo fai? Come Stai? e.. ho fatto molte telefonate! mean, This is very cool.(y)

Qu'est-ce-que tu fabriques? - French for "What are you making?"

"Che cosa fai/Che cazzo fai?" - Italian for "What do you do/What the fuck do you do?"

"Come sta e?" - Italian for "How are you?"

"Ho fatto molte telefonate" - Italian for "I have made a lot of telephone calls"

"Come sta e?" - Italian for "How are you?"

yep but unluckly beastiemania wrote it wrong.... it's "Come stai?" not "Come sta e?" it's got 2 different meanings depending by how you write it! :)

Hahaha! Adrock GRL has alwais new stuff to tell us!
Well, a similar thing has happened to me: I was strechted out in the sun, when I heard Yauch sayin' "come stai, che cazzo fai, ho fatto molte telefonate". I've jumped on my deckchair! Even tought if I bought it in 2004's summer, I heard it almost one year later.
Uh! And don't forget Yauch singin' "Ham and prasciudo!" in What Comes Around. Such things freaks me out!!
